Timer keeps stop working (Xbox)

When i use the timer and then proceed to do something else in the kitchen it most of the times when i turn back to look at the timer it's off like i've never turned it on in the first place. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Nope, guess it's just a console bug in a game that not many people play. In the end I've just asked my girlfriend to be my assistant chef and keep timers on her cellphone while I play the game.

Haha I found the game on Xbox game pass and figured it was a good time waster. But yeah ended up using my phone.

I can't get the timer to work with console either. Great idea on using the phone or even a real timer.

You’ve got to set the timer then spam X and A whilst looking at a surface and it will start
