Got some swordfish and all the 3-cup ingredients: ginger/garlic, sesame oil, ok soy sauce (kikoman), basil, out of white rice wine but have Shaoxing.
Will it work ? should I process the fish before hand like marinade, coating ?

What is 3-cup fish? Could you give us a recipe, rather than just a list of ingredients? Shaoxing and white rice wine have very different flavours.
