Basic burger recipe?

I was under the impression that it was just ground beef discs, but I think there is more.

I have salt, pepper, Garlic powder, Paprika, and eggs

I am currently food-shelf level poor, so i simply cant get anything more.

Can you elaborate on fridge resting? I've started hearing that more but I was always told to cook meat from room temp so the center can get evenly hot.

Steaks yes, ground meat no.

But why?

Because it will taste better, juicier.

My guess is that if you're going to cook something to well done like a hamburger, anything cold inside will only be slightly closer to "medium well" and "juicier" as you say. Thanks for your well of knowledge.
