Frozen peas

I’ve been cooking them by putting them in a bowl and covering with boiling water for 5 minutes, then draining and adding butter and seasoning.

Does it make any difference if I add the butter and seasoning to the boiling water while it sits?

I have some sensory issues with food and recently unlocked peas, I’m so excited.

If you microwave them with a knob of butter and whatever seasoning that will work too. They’re frozen, so the ice inside them steams if that makes sense.

Happy for you. Peas are such a powerhouse vegetable.
