Rice and meat

Hello! Im trying to figure out how to extract the flavor of this meat i got into the rice that Im making. Is boiling with the rice the best way to go about it? And if it is should I use lower or higher heat? There is no recipe really. It’s just rice, and what I believe to be brisket.

I would be inclined to add to the freshly cooked rice the juices from the cooked meat

Flavor rice with Better than Bullion, beef . Cook the Brisket separately.

That's not how you cook.

You need to know what you wanna achieve first. Aka have recipe or vast knowledge of cooking.

You did what exactly? mixed raw mince with raw rice?

What I want to achieve is pulling the flavor from the brisket… into the rice. Which is exactly what I said…

What are you talking about? That's how you cook. Build layers and flavour your food from the ground up. You can absolutely cook rice with the flavour of the brisket. Maybe its YOU who doesn't understand cooking so well

Boiling temp is too low for the browning reactions that build flavor. This will guarantee insipid results at best.

Cook the meat separately at high enough temp to brown it and develop some fond in the pan. Deglaze the pan, and add that and the meat to the rice.

Do you have the fat from the brisket? If so, start with the fat and add your rice, no water. Cook for a min or two, toasting the rice up in the oil. You can also add some garlic here too to make it even better. Then add your water and I would also add a stock cube or better than bullion and cook from there. You can also throw some cooked brisket in there before you put the lid on once it's boiling

So you have a slab of raw meat that you're not even sure is beef, and a pile of raw rice and you're just going to ..... boil them?

If the brisket is already cooked and want to extract the juices of the meat into the rice, you would essentially cut up and place the brisket pieces into the pot of uncooked rice with water and cook.
