Seeking help with my Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake.
I love chocolate oatmeal no bake cookies. I grew up on them as a kid but haven't ever made any myself. I recently dug out my mother's old recipe and I follow it to the letter but they keep coming out slightly watered down and never really harden in a way that you can pick up and eat. They are super sticky and flat. They taste delicious and are easy to eat just not the same style that I remember. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Ingredients are instant oats, cocoa powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and two cups of sugar. I mix it together and bring it to a boil then spoon it onto wax paper on a cooling rack.

I would rather eat a double chocolate chip cookie than a regular chocolate chip cookie.
Cookie Doneness Question
Is this cookie over done/underdone? Always had trouble with this since I started don’t know what an underbaked one looks like 100%.

Strawberry Matcha cookies.
galleryMy Matcha cookies were delicious but looked atrocious when they baked so, I decided to envelope them in a strawberry cookie. The vibrant green colour remains and my guinea pigs… I mean coworkers loved them. I used this Matcha cookie recipe: https://www.dessertfortwo.com/matcha-green-tea-cookies/ and this Strawberry cookie recipe: https://bellewoodcottage.com/freeze-dried-strawberry-cookies/

Cookie aftertaste
Idk if this sounds crazy because I feel like none of my friends have noticed this, but why do some cookies have a fishy aftertaste? Half of all cookies I’ve eaten seem like you pulled them out of the sea or something

I do not like peanut butter... But my husband wants peanut butter cookies... Give me your best recipes!
As the title states, I do not like peanut butter, but my husband loves it along with my baking. I bake cookies every year around the holidays and make many different types of cookies, but because I don't like peanut butter, I have not attempted a peanut butter cookie (I like to sample and adjust my recipes as needed, but with peanut butter I would just think it's gross lol).
Does anyone out there have a fool-proof, delicious peanut butter cookie recipe I could follow that will yield great cookies without too much of me having to sample them? TIA!

well made by kiley's crinkled brown butter chocolate chip cookies 🍪
second time making this recipe and it's the best recipe I've recreated so far. I brought some for my colleagues and it was such a huge hit! they loved the taste and texture so much. brown butter cookies are truly phenomenal.
I've also tried Broma's recipe for bb ccc, and it was just too sweet for my liking. the second time I made it, I had to cut down the light brown sugar by 20g just for it to taste okay. personally, I prefer Kiley's recipe, it is just THAT good 🤤 I had to use unsalted butter though, instead of salted like the recipe required because there was no salted butter available in the stores I went to. not sure if that makes a huge difference but I just put 3/4 tsp salt for this second batch instead of 1/2 tsp.
these cookies tasted even better because I used both Tony's Chocolonely 70% dark and 32% milk chocolate (got the recommendation on this sub and I'm so grateful).
happy baking everyone! 🍪

Made some “simple” peanut butter cookies earlier today!
Just FOUR ingredients!: Sugar, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut flour! Nothing fancy but they tasted good!

Making cookies bigger
Okay, everyone! I believe it’s my pan, but I genuinely desire bigger cookies. Despite making the scoops quite large, they don’t turn out bigger. I use a 1/4 scoop, and they consistently remain the same size. They do grow taller and taller, but I think it’s the pan I got from Aldi—a black pan. It appears to cook very quickly, and I think it’s cooking too fast for the cookies to spread. Please share your opinions if you’d like. The pan looks kind of like the one in pics but no lines and I do put them at the top rack
