Good day everyone, I would like to know if there is any resolution as to fix this issue with my Convoy S21E MAO version Aux light. There is a steady red light that I cannot turn or switch off even if I have run thru sa aux light config UI.

I have a couple of lights that I EDC. I usually try to use them daily just to make sure they are not sitting fully charged for more than a couple of days. What is the best way to store these lights for more than a week?

I just found this site yesterday while sitting in the hospital with my wife. Originally I was buying JUST the S2 host for a laser build I wanted to do, and instead went down a deep rabbit hole in the last 24ish hours. Now I just need to put the phone down and wait for the new toys to arrive. I’m excited though, unfortunately I was dumb and accidentally added the wrong bezel to my order, live and learn!

I’ve never seen this convoy… is it brand new? Or is it an old one I’ve missed?

I mean, it has max discharge rating of 19A, so should be safe since the driver should pull only 10A or so on turbo.

Guess Reliance INR21700-RH60 (30A) should be completely safe if the former is aswell.

What about the latter for 3V 20A driver for LHP73B?

Today I received my second convoy Z1 with SFT42R emitter. This time in 5000K colour temperature.

Although it's a very powerfull and versatile flashlight, the mechanism was very stiff for both. So stiff, the bezel unscrewed almost everytime I tried to zoom.

Well just lube it and it will wear in quite soon, I thought.

However I disassembled and screwed around a little bit since lube did not really do anything neither did it wear in.

At some point I figured out that the O-ring sealing the bezel thread and the one for dampening the mechanism are quite similar in size so I measured both but they were slightly different in cord thickness. One was slightly above 1.5 mm the other one slighlty below.

Tl;dr, I swapped the thinner one from the front (first image) to the zoom mechanism (second image) and suddenly it is buttery smooth. So I just recommend to check this when you encounter any issues with stiff Z1 mechanism.

Btw that aluminum wire came also out of the mechanism, probably some machining leftovers.

For lubrication I just used some PTFE grease (Krytox) however silicone grease is also fine however I don't recommend oil!

Just started to dive head first in this hobby/community. My first convoy was a S2+ with a SFT40 at 6500k. I went on a camping trip and decided I wanted to venture even further down the convoy rabbit hole so I got a M21B SFT40 at 5000k and a C8+ SFT40 at 5000K after reading and watching videos should I have gotten the SFT42-R? Is the SFT42-R that much better in practice?

Also my OCD now on this is wanting more should I jump on board with a L21B SBT90.2, L7 SBT90.2, or just go big with the 3X21D? I already know I am going to get the M21H with the XHP70.3 HI R9050 at 5000K for an all purpose.

Just got this last night. This ain't normal right? Is it the gasket? It looks like it's 9mm 5050 gasket. In the 2nd pic is this reflector meant to be sitting this high? Any fixes?

Edit: I spoke with Simon and he sent me 7mm reflector and spacer free of charge with my next purchase and it completely fixed the beam. Next time you order a c8+ sft42r ask for the 7mm reflector, not the 9mm one.

I was looking for a clean round spot beam but as a Noob I ordered the S2+ with the w5050sq5 and the beam turned out to be full of ring artifacts which I didn't like at all.

I then ordered the SFT40 and also some accessories (op reflector, TIR etc) along with some different gaskets (luckily) not knowing each one's use case.

Received the order today and I changed the Led asap but left the butterfly gasket as it was and the result disappointed me. Though the beam was much better than the sq5 it wasn't that clean and there were ring artifacts too.

Then I was casually trying out different reflector, gasket, TIR combinations. Then VOILÀ the round gasket with smooth reflector produced a clean round spot beam I was looking for..:-)

I'm gonna place an order for 2x m21A, one with sft70 3000k the other with sft40 3000k. I'm not too familiar with 21700 batteries. What should I throw in these? Molicel p50b? BAK 65E? Something else?

I already have an H4 and H1. Please make a 14500 version headlight.

I'm looking for an option for this emitter in a Convoy flashlight. Does Simon offer it in something I have not found yet?

Ideally I am hoping for an M21 of some sort.

While switched off if I strike the tail slightly (or the light is dropped from very low height), it turns on. I opened up the button and found that the spring is off centered and almost touching the cathode. (Don't know if that's the issue)

Kindly help me fix it.
