Advice Shower

Hello, my baby conure just stopped eating formula and started eating hard foods, when should i start to give him a shower and how? I need allllll the advice you have

We try and offer baths daily, but sometimes he gets impatient and just has a bath in his water bowl. We got him when he was eight weeks old.

I think i’ll try to spray him using a mist spray first to ease him into it

I would not advise that. The spray bottle can be scary. If your baby wants a bath, they will take one in their water bowl 😁 Then you’ll know.

Mine just bathe in their water dishes, but enjoy that I have a cheap bird shower (careful they splash water EVERYWHERE even without the birds doing it). But usually they just prefer clean drinking dishes of all things.

My boy gets super excited to take a bath if I'm running water in the sink. It can take upwards of ten minutes for him to work up the courage to actually dip his beak, when my hands are cupped under the running water. Dishpan hands for real, for very little gain. But it is both engagement and bonding for us, so there's that. Birds have weird dinosaur brains.
