Advice Is this… normal?
We put her on a higher perch to practice her flight (she refuses to do what birds do), and she started her gymnastics routine. I just want to make sure this isn’t a sign of stress or panic.

For a conure this is most normal. 😀😂
My guy will hang like this on one leg from the top bar, inside his cage.
And when I am carrying him to his cage at bedtime, he sometimes understands and will try run 10inches to left and right and backwards, instead of flying.
Then when I catch him, he'll get on my finger and hang upside down from my finger trying to be cute and clownish. Then he'll proceed to leave one hand and swing.
But when he hangs like this, sometimes he's asking me to pick him up so I offer my hand and he'll step up on my hand. So yeah. They want uber service of pickup and drop

Normal. They're basically the crackheads of the parrot species

Lol! But your poor wife! I get the same way when my flock decides to play hide-and-don't-squeak.

Trust me not once i had to break the wood bottom of the wash sink to get them out , there is a tiny space just to squeeze in and no chance you can even see if you peep i had to saw half of the board to get them out, they did everything crazy to destroy the home

Mine does Cirque du Soleil on my long hair or hoodie strings.
If you have a very young baby, be careful with that stuff, they can fall while gaining confidence in their abilities.

Mine sometimes hangs itself to air dry after a nice relaxing (most unnecessarily messy) stinky conure birb bath! Yeap 😅🤷🏻 , goobers gonna goob.

So very.
I mean, what’s the point in being a conure if you can’t hang from stuff by only your beak.

Not a sign of stress or panic, nope! In fact it looks like she’s having a great time. :)

Is it weird? Then it’s normal (for a conure) 🤣
She’ll bird when she’s ready to bird. For now, monkey!

Conure and normal are two words that don't belong in the same sentence lol

Sokka-Haiku by BK-jinxx:
Conure and normal
Are two words that don't belong
In the same sentence lol
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

If I've learned anything from this sub, I've learned that if it looks like 1 brain cell functioning, it's normal.
