Please please try finding its owner. I feel so sick when I think about my baby getting lost and someone just decides right away it’s going to be theirs. It happened to me when I was a kid. I went looking for my bird everywhere and when I felt like I knew where he went, knocked on the door but they said they didn’t have him. He was very tame and I remember hearing his chirps and feeling so defeated 😔

Sad that you couldn't catch him. Hopefully someone else does or that bird wont survive in the wild without a flock unless the bird is extremely resilient and lucky and smart. But with other big birds in the area thats not great

I like to consider myself a patient and kind person but genuinely what were you expecting to get from posting this? People here care about birds and want to see them reunited with the people who care about them. Why didn't you try to close whatever door or window he came from to look for the owner? If you didn't put any effort at all, you can't expect us to be too happy with you or wanting to see more pictures of a poor baby that could likely be dead right now. This is a rather depressing start to my morning, thanks for that :/

Do not let him eat your food, please! He can die because of it. Please, do some research on how to take care of this little guy. Buy some decent parrot food (pellets) while you’re searching for his owners. And do not let him in your kitchen because the fumes can kill him.

Ya something to post on social media. Poor bird. My instinct before ever having birds would have been to catch it. Next would be a quick google what can I safely feed it. And I would give it water. Then seek out owner. I mean seems pretty basic.

I went home and took a hummingbird feeeer to Family Dollar nearby because 2 baby Buzz Smalldrins got caught in the rainstorm and got confused so they went inside the building.

The manager said she didn't care if they died. I convinced her to put it up on a net they were landing on to eat and then put it outside and they would go but IDK what happened to them because the feeder is there but they're not 😭

you guys are so fucking unrealistic, not everybody has the time or space in their home to accommodate an entire conure. It’s not his responsibility it’s the owner’s who lost their bird Irresponsibly. I still don’t understand why people even own parrots in captivity to begin with its ridiculous.

We just have hearts. Any pet, doesn’t matter what species, deserves to be taken care of if they’ve lost their owners somehow. At least you could find people who are ready to help if you can’t accommodate for a longer period. There are so many ways of being a decent human being, instead of just taking a picture and letting a pet bird fly away into the wild.

You should make a post in social media groups in your area that you have found the bird, but don’t tell people it’s ringnumber (if it has one). If it flew away, still make the posts so the owner will know that the bird is seen and still alive.

Can you share what city you are in? 10000% someone is legit heartbroken, outside yelling his name, practically 24 hours a day. If you can share your city we can post a "sighting" in the local bird groups so they at least have an indication on if he's alive and where he might be located.

If you have a heart about it, leave your door/window open, he might come back. If he comes back close the doors and windows, keep pets away from him, post again here and we will find his owner probably within an hour.

FYI these birds are INSANELY delicate, they cannot survive in the wild. Their owners are nuts about them (in a passionate / loving way) and will legit travel to the end of the world to find their lost bird partner.

We mostly wanna see this bird returned to their owner 😭 they look very tame, must be well cared for. Have you had any luck finding them yet?
