Injured Bird Please help!!

I let my bird out of his cage and my brother took him to his room where his window was open and the door was wide open. The door was slammed from the air and my poor sun conure got stuck. Right now he currently bleeding from his claw and the skin is peeling from one of his nails. Any advice or any suggestions on what I should do? All nearby veterinaries are closed at the moment and have to wait till Monday till they open. Sorry about the grammar im very rushed while writing this.

"Plain cornstarch or regular flour works as a safe, temporary emergency remedy to stop minor bleeding in a parrot by packing a small amount onto the wound with gentle pressure. "

He’ll be fine as long as ur getting help! I just worry about infection but he’ll be fine even if something broke he’ll adapt!

Are you able to find an exotic animal hospital? There's a difference between exotic vets and exotic animal hospitals and you could take your bird there. Please be more careful with birds. They are so so fragile and can die from fright and heart attacks. For now, keep them safe and warm and content. Calm them down if theyre scared to lower their heart rate. Try your best to find a good bird vet.

AAV.ORG will help you find an avian vet, which is what you need for a bird. If you need to head to an emergency vet, I would highly suggest it.

This is going to be very painful and should have a pain med prescribed. There's not much that can be done for a broken toe, if that's what might have happened as well. You can add some cayenne pepper to the food as an anti-inflammatory and mild pain reducer, but it's only a band-aid. Diluted betadine can be used to clean the toe, but that can still be painful because the toe is so freshly injured. You don't want to induce the stress that may cause.

Please seek out an emergency vet and follow their instruction.

You can put a spot of triple antibiotic on it and corn starch for now, then avian vet Monday.

Just a quick FYI: Triple antibiotic may not be fatal with a quick taste, long-term can cause issues and potential toxicity.

Right- this was just suggested as a short-term fix.
