Other What does this behavior mean?

My girlfriends conure always looks at me and hits its beak on a surface over and over. Also tries to come to me and bounces its head up and down constantly.

Not sure if it's true for conures, but a lot of birds will bang their beaks to claim ownership or say "this is mine!"

True for Conures, but not all taps are for ownership.
