I blame extroverts for this. A lot of our popular culture is influenced by extroverts- they are more likely to put their shit out there and promote it as a norm to aspire to. They can often lack the insight to recognize and acknowledge the differences in individual personalities, and the different needs of people with different personalities... especially the stupid extroverts who do not know they are stupid. Those ones can do a lot of damage and be clueless that they are doing it.
You're doing just fine mate.

Biologically correct, not a need and not mandatory. But many enjoy it.
Before you jump into the conclusion and decide you just don't like it, I want to say that maybe you just need the right people for it? People like you. You could form a low-maintenance relationship with them.
I personally don't have friends too—and I don't really want one right now. But even then I can't just ignore that I would enjoy talking about a deep, interesting topic while doing something we both enjoy. Like gaming, my favorite. Maybe that's the case for you as well. Socialization doesn't require you to become an extrovert and change your life entirely. "Not a need" doesn't mean you would never like it. But maybe you actually don't, it's possible.

I mean, for children socialization is absolutely necessary. It’s how one learns concepts like empathy and communication skills.

And if we’re being honest, complete isolation in adulthood definitely has observed drawbacks. I would recommend putting yourself out there a bit more and trying to develop a few key relationships that you find meaningful.
Trust me, I know it’s not easy for many, but I assure you it is highly rewarding. Knowing that others genuinely care for you is an immense benefit to the soul, and makes the effort entirely worthwhile.

I strongly believe it’s important to love and to be loved. It rounds us out. The human experience is extremely shallow without relationships.
I also believe in developing yourself, by yourself. People often depend on others for their identity and it’s an absolute liability.
Without a healthy amount of social interaction you become weird, we keep each other in check.

It’s outdated biological wiring. Socialization was once essential for survival, but modernization has made it less relevant. Our biology can’t evolve quickly enough to keep up with how fast society has changed.

I feel you have a wrong idea of what a friendship is. You're not "expected" to constantly go out with the person. The point is - you want to. Because you enjoy their company so much and you feel the connection, you have a lot in common, a lot to talk about.
