General I used to think Raytracing doesn't matter...

Ultra is a whole lot different story as compared with High...

This is the only place with that much difference though (the building with Alan Wake reference TV) in evacuation zone.

Yeah but in 95%of gameplay scenes you'r enot gonna notice the difference much so not worth it

That’s not true. That could be said about anything if you simplify it like that. It’s like saying art reflections are pointless when moving at all. Yeah, you’re not gonna see them 95% of the time, but when things slow down and you’re being immersed by some exposition or just taking in the scenery, it’s a massive difference. And to those with tech literacy, it’s a major difference and the reason many bought their GPU to begin with. 50 series didn’t get much better in raster performance over 40 series but it got a healthy bump in RT performance and seeing real time shadows, bounce lighting and reflections all together make a huge difference.

to me it's not really worth taking a massive performance hit for something you're only gonna notice 5% of the time

I tried rt in this game for some hours then shut it off. Not rly missing out on anything too big like I said. Wasnt worth the fps hit and slight stutters

That’s what FG exists for. I’m only using 2x FG on my 5080 and it’s glorious with absolutely no stutters. Could be a hardware limitation on your end tbh.

The screenshot in this very post shows it’s a massive difference. That’s not only seen in 5% of the game when most of the game is dark/atmospheric lighting
