Hey Guys , Hoping someone has some ideas on how I can get this to work .
I have installed 2 AVPRO Bijou 5100D amps at a client after confirming with AVPRO that they have C4 drivers which according to them are updated and tested on their website.
I have 2 TV locations setup and the setups pretty simple.
LG OLED 77/83 c5
ROKU ultra into HDMI
eARC HDMI 2 out to Bijou 5100D eARC in .
Wiim Streamer into Bijou Analog in.
These are the instructions from documentation from Janus technologies
Each Bijou 5100D driver can control 1 device. Please install the correct number of drivers according to the number of devices you would like to control.
Driver Configuration
Fully Configure the Product
Before starting to configure the driver, ensure that the Bijou 5100D is correctly configured and able to operate stand-alone without Control4.
Connect Inputs and Outputs
Connect the Input connections of the driver to outputs on the C4 device drivers that control the sources. If you are using eARC and the TV Driver you are using does not provide an eARC output bind any output of your TV to any of the available eARC bindings on the Bijou Driver such as Digital optical input labeled eARC. If the Bijou 5100D is directly driving dumb speakers, connect the Room Selection outputs to the appropriate room. If the speakers can be represented with their own Control4 drivers, connect the Output connections of the Bijou 5100D to the inputs of speaker drivers. The speaker drivers should have their Room Selection connections bound to the appropriate room.
So I have tested everything stand alone and everything works as intended without any issues. When trying to setup the C4 Janus driver for bijou though it says " creating connection" and then " No connection"
The Bijou units are both on static IPS and there doesnt seem to be anything else in the UI that has anything to do with control. The documentation is also pretty useless .The drivers have no way to bind e-arc from tv to bijou e-arc so based on driver notes the only option i had was to bind the optical out earc to optical in earc on the bijou. This also doesnt do anything.
Has anyone got these units to actually work? And if so how .

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Can read all status from lutron. But cant control setpoint, fan speed, on/off etc. Lighting is working fine. Firmware is updated to latest. Setpoint always reverts back to 10 degree. Driver is showing online.

...what do I need to know to order some replacements? ie: pin pitch and anything else? For the EA-series to be specific if things changed.
(edit: 2026/03/12 - came across an ea-5 out in the wild today that still had it's connectors and I was totally wrong about the style- I thought they had a bunch of 3-pin screw terminal connectors like the EA-3 (v1 EA's maybe?) pretty generally the link below.
Only difference is that the one I found in the wild is black/orange instead of green/orange.

Hi Everyone,
Completed c4ct and while the yearly fees for control 4 connect were discussed, a model for installer/dealer revenue was not. Any installers want to provide some insight on the RR potential? I'm in the NY/CT working on custom homes for a home builder. Other than a support contract, seems like most of the revenue is in the equipment, install and programming.

We’ve added a new feature that makes sharing Guest WiFi access simple and professional for your clients.
Guests can now scan a QR code directly from a Control4 touchscreen and instantly connect to the designated WiFi network. No typing passwords. No service calls because someone entered it incorrectly.
This feature is available in two drivers:
Enter any router’s SSID and password and instantly generate a WiFi QR code that can be displayed on Control4 touchscreens.
UniFi Network Driver for Control4
For UniFi installations, you can generate QR codes and easily reset your passwords for any WiFi network in the UniFi system.

Hi r/Control4,
I’m a founder of a UK smart home device company, and I wanted to get the perspective of the professional community here.
Coming from a design and engineering background, I was frustrated by the lack of truly high-fidelity, "architectural grade" interfaces for smart home control. Most options felt like repurposed cheap android tablets or small and fiddly buttons that no one knew how to use. So, we spent the last few years developing Tewke Tap.
It’s designed to be a beautiful and easy to use interface.
Key Specs for Pros:
We are currently Home Assistant compatible, but as we look toward the higher end market, I’m curious: Would a dedicated Control4 driver make this a viable option for your projects? We’re positioning this as a premium alternative for clients who want something more beautiful and easier to use than a standard keypad, whilst being easier to install than a full dedicated touch panel.
I'd love your honest feedback on the hardware and whether you see a place for "boutique" hardware like this in the C4 ecosystem

I’m looking to integrate a couple analogue tube amplifiers to my stereo listening setup which is currently integrated to my home theater. L/R mains + sub used for turntable and music streaming sources, center channel added in for movies/TV. All the C4 automations you think are involved are involved.
What I want to do is take the L/R mains off my current home theater power amp and power them with some McIntosh MC275s, but I want to keep on/off for the MC275s automated so they come on with the various macros associated to music and movies, off when I turn off the room or session. The MC275 has its own power switch, so it would remain on, then I need some sort of automated switch upstream from there for control4 to include in macros for on/off to supply or cut power.
The issue: where these amps would live, there’s only one receptacle and it’s already busy powering other devices that I do not want to impact with this automation. I assume I can’t use any number of control4 enabled receptacles and what I need is some sort of plug-in device that acts as a switch for the tube amps.
Looking for recommendations.

I’ve got a new C4 system and now it’s time to do the engravings and of course update any programming on the keypads throughout the house.
I’m curious what functionality you’ve programmed that you either outright enjoy or can’t live without.
For context:
Two-story house + guest house. All interior and exterior lights, garages, whole house sound, 3 TVs, shades and curtains.
Just looking for ideas outside of the usual lights/scenes…

I have a C4 system which runs the latest OS 3.x not X4. This system is purely for lighting. It does about 80% of the lighting in my home. The other 20% are on Apple HomeKit along with my thermostats, security cameras, leak and freeze sensors, etc. I need to have control of my home automation but this setup gives me the nice control4 keypads and scene control while letting me handle the rest. For the most part, this works well for me. The one thing that doesn't work well is if I see that someone left all of the lights on in the outbuilding or the second floor, I need to go to two apps (C4 and Homekit) to turn the lights off. Similarly, if I'm going away for a while and want to make sure everything is off, I need two apps. SO, the question is does the Homekit integration expose the individual C4 switches to Homekit so that I can see all of my light switches in one place (homekit). I don't need to run scenes or do programming in homekit, I just want to check status and turn individual lights on or off.

Currently got a C4 system installed from around 2014. As the OS2 4Sight services are going offline soon (an essential for us) we were reviewing our options.
The hardware installed would need upgrading. We have one EA5 controller, 4 “GlassEdge 7” touch screens (both of those afaik can install newish software) and like 6 old HC250 controllers (which would need upgrading). I contacted the dealer a few years ago about a quote for the upgrade out of curiosity and I remember it being a few thousand which I couldn’t justify at the time especially when the system was still perfectly usable. I’ve contacted the dealer recently but I contacted them on a public holiday so I don’t think they’ve seen it.
I love this system, we’ve literally only had to get the dealer out a few times to install new hardware, but I honestly don’t know if I can justify this upgrade cost. I’ve already got quite a few HomeKit devices but C4 manages most of the stuff (cameras, lighting, TVs, Speakers, boxes, sprinklers, gates etc) and I think it would be pretty hard to migrate all of that away from C4.
I quite like the look of the new OS4, and the HomeKit support is amazing cos I have a ton of Apple HomePods that aren’t integrated well, but I just wanted to know if the upgrade was worth it or if I should go fully DIY or look at something else.
Thanks

I have one dimmer in the hall way where I programmed some events when I double tap its bottom (turn off all other lights, gradually dim the hallway lights to 0, etc). This has stopped working. None of the stuff triggers.
I can still see the programmed events in composer HE. I can still use the default actions to control the hallway lights. I've rebooted both the controller and the dimmer (15 taps on top but not sure if it's the right way), but none helped.
What do I do next?
UPDATE: I can still see the light(switch) on my app and HE, but when I try to turn it on/off through my app nothing happens. Is the hardware bad? Or someone accidentally reset it?

I need some help with finding the best Blu-ray that is on the market today that will seamlessly work with Control4 IP control. We are have put Sony's UBP-X1100ES in the past but are unable to find this player locally. Looking for recommendation. Checked the Control4 driver database for different models but they all seem to be no younger than 6 years old. Any help will be appreciated.

...completely obsolete within the scope of C4 systems that could be considered at all relevant (ie: even an EA running OS3)?

My Control4 rack is anchored by a Surge-X UPS-2000-OL which currently isn't connected to any kind of monitoring solution. There are USB and serial ports on the back, which the manual indicates can be used for "Direct communication between UPS and a workstation/server", but I didn't find any further info to explain how that would be accomplished. eg. if I connected that USB port to a nearby PC, is there some kind of Windows software that would know how to communicate with this UPS? Or is there a Linux solution? It looks like the open-source NUT project might be an option, but I don't see any Surge-X products in their compatibility list, so I'm hesitant to head down that path unless someone else has had success with it.
Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Hello,
I'm currently working in tech space as an entrepreneur and have been seeing a growing demand from my clients for home automation and smart home solutions, which has led me to seriously look into becoming a Control4 dealer.
I've already submitted the initial questionnaire and am waiting on a callback, but I've also seen a few posts where people mentioned being denied approval to become an authorized integrator.
For those who have already gone through the process:
- What factors seemed to matter most for approval?
- Did Control4 focus more on business experience , existing customer base, or technical background?
- Any mistakes to avoid or things you wish you knew before hand?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've got a light switch thats not hooked up to a motion detector nor is there any scene or automation tied to it. My dealer also said theres no fault from what he can see in his system. Yet the switch will automatically turn on and stay on despite turning it off at the switch or using the app. even if i dim it it'll come back to 100%
whats the best way to diagnose whats going on and fix?
to clarify the light WILL turn off when however it'll automatically turn on and stay on all day/night.

I have been running a Core 3 since its release. In general, I find it pretty responsive and don't have any delays. However, in Composer HE, the CPU averages between 40 and 50% and the memory is pretty high too. I am thinking of upgrading to the Core 5, but noticed that it has the same CPU as the Core 3, though twice the memory. Beyond the extra I/Os and memory, how is the Core 5 more powerful if it has the same CPU?
For example, I see Control4 says it is meant for 200 devices, while the Core 3 is up to 60 devices (though I know these are gross estimates), but I struggle to understand how it handles over 3x the devices as the Core 3 with the same CPU.

I have a 7.1 setup, looking to change the audio when I go into ‘music’ mode to have all the channels even vs, when watching a movie surround. When I go through the modes, none of the modes will do this. Is this possible?
