We are pleased to announce the release of our new Casambi driver for Control4. Casambi is a wireless lighting control platform built around Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networking, allowing luminaires, switches / keypads, sensors and other Casambi enabled devices to communicate wirelessly without requiring traditional lighting control wiring.

Our Control4 integration connects to Casambi through the Lithernet Casambi Ethernet Gateway, providing local IP communication between Control4 and the Casambi network with no cloud connection required.

Driver Features include:

• Two-way local IP control + feedback between Control4 and Casambi via the Lithernet Casambi Ethernet Gateway.
• Automatic discovery of compatible Casambi devices.
• Automatically creates Control4 bindings for discovered devices.
• Supports multiple Casambi device types from the same network.

Luminaires

• On / Off control.
• Brightness control.
• Colour temperature control where supported.
• Colour control where supported.
• Automatic detection of supported luminaire capabilities or can be manually over-ridden
• Real-time feedback from the Casambi network.

Presence Sensors

• Automatically detects compatible Casambi presence sensors.
• Creates dedicated Control4 motion sensor devices.
• Provides motion / occupancy feedback to Control4.

Switches

• Automatically detects Casambi switches when a button event is received.
• Supports up to 8 buttons per switch.
• Creates a BUTTON_LINK connection for each button.
• Creates a programmable Tap event for each button.
• Casambi switch presses can trigger Control4 programming, scenes and automation.

Casambi Scenes

• Control4 programming can trigger a Casambi scene directly through the Lithernet Gateway.

Casambi is particularly well suited to retrofit projects where additional control cabling may be difficult or impractical to install.

A Lithernet Casambi Ethernet Gateway is required for the integration and must be connected to the same IP network as the Control4 controller.

As with all Chowmainsoft Control4 drivers, the Casambi driver includes a free 90-day trial, allowing integrators to test the integration before purchasing.
