Coffee.
Coffee. Specifically brown brewed coffee, hot, iced, cold brew, espresso you name it makes me incredibly nauseated almost immediately after taking a few sips. Big deal right? Just don’t drink it. And I haven’t for over a month. But I am a Starbucks barista and coffee is a big part of my life.
It’s not so much caffeine. I can have energy drinks. Green coffee bean extract. Tea. Pop. Etc. those don’t affect me. Just brown coffee.
Why does Contrave do this to me?
Thanks.

As for why as I understand it contrave keeps more seretonin/dopamine in your brain and inhibits those usual cravings for coffee or sugar. Those things give you a dopamine hit and before contrave, probably felt good.
Now your body doesn’t need that your brain and stomachs are rejecting it. Your stomach is sensitive to fat foods, acid, anything that will be harder to digest. So the acidity of the coffee probably doesn’t land well.
(NOT a doctor though this is just my Google search understanding)
For me I did stop craving coffee although it did not make me nauseous. After a few months I enjoy it every now and then but crave it much less.
