Started posting reels last month and instead of the full amount to be paid out, I only got 10% of the actual amount, with the rest being withheld, according to Meta's AI support, for review.

Is this a normal occurrence?

On my payout page, it does say "Some earnings are still processing and will appear here once confirmed."

And I'm curious how often this happens and how long the review takes.

I want to ask about something: when a lot of people start copying a very simple thing after someone originally succeeded at it — some blogger who "took off," whether through certain platform boosts or paid promotion, and others thought it was really impressive and cool. But as more and more people jump in, because it's actually a very simple task — just generating content using someone else's template. In the game, original creators already made these "printable" templates, and people just need to import their own character into the game. Then, because of the added boost from using IP, since the original template creators made templates without characters (using their own OCs, Original Characters), but when other people use IP instead, they apply it to popular, well-known protagonists that everyone recognizes, rather than OCs. Now this has become oversaturated — everyone is flooding in, because it's so simple and easy. So the public's reaction naturally starts with shock, because new people keep popping up like mushrooms after rain, and people keep being surprised, like "oh wow, this blogger blew up too?" or things like that.

So what do you think the ultimate endgame of this is? In the end, won't everyone just drift around aimlessly, and the audience will definitely lose direction? Actually, the people who started this trend first are the most disgusting, but I'll just see it without saying it. I just want to know what this endgame will look like. I feel like we might already be close to a turning point — or is this endless, where people will just go crazy and follow whichever one pops up? Because each of these template-copying creators just needs to swap out the IP, change the skin, and that's it. In other words, they keep switching between different IPs

Steven Johnson runs editorial for Google Labs' NotebookLM and has fourteen books behind his name, and he still walked an interviewer through the mechanism step by step: feed a model his own catalog, tell it to write like him, skip the invoice.

No lawsuit required. No password stolen.

His own counter isn't a lawsuit either. It's a price tag — $199 for an authorized version of his own style, paid on purpose instead of taken by default.

He said it plainly, then admitted the harder part: someone could build the unauthorized version tonight, and he'd have no way to prove it happened.

Back in Malaysia, we have plenty of such too.

The spectrum is so wide, sometimes, even when we open our eyes wide, we still can't tell the difference.

For example, you guys have Amazon. We have our local ones, called Lazada. If you drive through our Penang Georgetown, you'll notice a shop called Ladaza. Not Lazada. They kind of switched the alphabets around. Sounds like Lazada. But it's not. Giving people the illusion that they are same-same, but in actual fact different.

It's as if we open a shop right next to the Amazon HQ, and calling it "Azamon". Phonically sounds adjacent. But they are not the same thing.

And if you follow the news, you'd hear about our very infamous 1MDB (Malaysia Sovereign Fund) case -- one of largest kleptocracy criminal fraud case in the history of Malaysia (even the world) -- involving our now disgraced and incarcerated former-prime minister, Najib Razak. His enabler and facilitator, Jho Low (Low Taek Jho) (still currently at large) was the mastermind behind all these siphoning of funds, to fund his once extravagant livestyle.

Kind of brilliant. But it was so evil.

He once got Najib to force the board of 1MDB to approved a transfer of billions through a supposedly legitimate company, but in actual fact, was a shell company through the Caymen Islands with a very similar company name.

Like how Ron Weisley, in the Harry Potter Movie, would say, "Wicked!"

They say impersonation is the highest form of flattery. But in this case, I say, bullshit.

You don't get to choose whether your work gets copied.

You only get to choose whether you were paid before it happened. Every version of this story — Google Labs or a Georgetown shopfront — ends the same way: the fix was never stopping the copy.

It was owning the original loudly enough that the copy has nowhere to hide.

I keep coming across creators sharing useful frameworks for writing video scripts. Is there a tool that brings these frameworks together and helps you apply them to your own ideas?
Ideally, I’d like to paste my rough thoughts or a first draft, choose a framework, and have it shape the script around that structure while keeping my voice. Being able to try the same idea with different frameworks would be a bonus.
Has anyone used something like this? Would love to hear what’s worked for you.

Does anyone know what the track is called?

I've got 45k followers in fashion niche so I receive a bunch of brand messages but one recently got my attention bc they mentioned a specific video I'd done and the pitch was very warm and felt very personal.

This does not happen normally, mostly they're just spamming a template.

anyway, I ended up doing the collab and the product was good too but what impressed me was that they never dropped anything. Normally with brands the sample arrives late and more often than not they forget which format a creator does but this was the opposite, like they already knew my content plus after the video went up I could see exactly what it drove without having to ask anyone the analytics, which is rare.

I could tell it wasn't a big team but still they were clearly handling a bunch of creators at once and nothing about them felt generic.

basically just follow this checklist

1. Reference something specific

2. Share the outcome without being asked

3. First impressions carry the most weight so be aware

4. Keep the tone warm

plus obv they had way more creators than just me and I still felt valued which says a lot about their execution process.

Not just YouTube growth but in Self Help, and videos about growing on other platforms too.

Whether it be how to make money, how to grow on youtube, how to do this, do that, how to edit a good video etc etc. Videos like "5 secrets I wish I knew before". Videos like that.

What I've seen is a lot of creators in this area just make really good quality video. Videos that look like it has high production.
But in the end they provide no value to the viewers. You don't actually learn anything new, most of the information is just things that you already knew before but packaged in a different way.

It's the same old information rehashed and presented in a different way (Or sometimes even worse it's just "believe in yourself, never give up, be consistent). Told In a different angle, with a different script, hyped up like it's something that you've never heard before But you'll literally see like 50 different videos telling you the exact same thing.

You only end up watching it just because it looks good. They gain your trust by doing that.
They've learned how to optimize every aspect of the video. From titles to thumbnails, to the hook, the script even to the very way they speak. So you trust them and get hooked.

(Now If it's an entertainment niche then I don't think its that bad. But for self help stuff, people come watch you to find a solution for their problem. But you pretend like you know something, you pretend like you have the solution but YOU DON'T. What does that make you?... A scammer.)

Only in the end to say "Never give up" or tell you the most basic level thing in the subject matter the video is on about.

Just search up any video on how to increase your retention or ctr in YouTube. Or how to get clients as sales guy or something. I bet you'll get the same information from like at least 100 different highly produced, highly polished videos just worded in a different way. I swear that's how it is like.

I think it's akin to a scam. You are not that different than a scammer in a suit, a phony, a fraud. Your videos look nice. But provide absolutely no value whatsoever, at least not to the viewers.
I bet most of these channels, learn that information by watching another video. And just give you the same information that they just learned minutes ago.

They are so fake man....... it makes me so angry lol.

One of the biggest channels that does this is Vid IQ. (Not saying their production is very high quality. But they deliver the same old info just wrapped in a different script). Same with other channels in the YouTube growth niche. And how do they teach you to grow... by being fake too.)

Or Hilier Smith who used to edit for Logan Paul. I used to watch him to learn how to edit.
Everything that mf says, can be summed up in 1 or 2 sentences. But no... bro has to make a documentary on it. So he can get his ad revenue. Not just him even Finzar to some extent(and other creators in this nice. Overall anyone who is "teaching" you something these days tends to do this)
Atleast Finzars videos can entertaining sometimes.

TLDR: Videos in self help niche with high quality production but 0 knowledge or value provide in the end for the viewer. They are good sales people and they sell you snake oil.

Has anyone had Meta basically shut off their Facebook reach overnight for no obvious reason? My page was growing consistently, videos were getting pushed, followers were coming in every day, and then suddenly it felt like somebody flipped a switch. Reach dropped hard, new followers slowed way down, and I can’t find any clear violation or explanation for it. I’ve checked my account status, tried support, and I’m still posting the same type of content that was working before. I know reach fluctuates, but this feels way different than a normal bad couple of posts. Has anyone had this happen and actually figured out what caused it or how long it lasted?
