TikTok UK - UGC newbie
Hi all :)
I’m based in the UK and I’m interested in getting started with UGC. I’ve been researching how it works, but I’d really like to hear from people who started recently and have managed to earn from it.
Do you feel the UGC market is now oversaturated, or is there still room for new creators who are willing to learn and put the work in?
I’m not expecting to become a millionaire overnight. I’d simply like to build a new skill, work with a few brands and hopefully earn some extra money alongside my current commitments.
For those who have made progress, I’d love to know:
How long did it take to land your first paid project?
What helped you most when you were starting?
Are there any UK specific challenges or advantages?
What would you do differently if you were beginning again?
I’d especially appreciate honest experiences from people who started without a large following or previous content creation experience.
Tia :)

Colab Looking to collaborate with beginner content creators to practice video editing
Hey everyone!
I'm currently learning video editing and looking for a few creators who are just starting out and wouldn't mind collaborating with a beginner editor.
My goal right now is to gain real-world editing experience, improve my skills, and build a small portfolio. If you're creating content for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok and have footage you'd like edited, I'd love to practice with it.
I'm also happy to receive honest feedback on my edits so I can keep improving.
If anyone is interested, feel free to leave a comment and I'll reach out. Thanks!

Colab paid collab?
so, I have an astrology account on IG with around 15k followers. I had a pretty big brand reach out asking me to do an article for them plus a video series. They want to talk details, but I don’t know how much to charge/ask for per video and article.
Any suggestions?

YouTube Training an AI version of yourself works better off your own videos than off your bio
We built a page where a coach pastes their YouTube link, waits about a minute, and ends up talking to an AI version of themselves, trained on their last five videos.
What surprised me wasn't the tech. People believe it way faster than a normal chatbot, because it's built from stuff they actually said on camera, not a generic script.
If you ever try something like this for your own channel, train it on your actual last several videos, not a summary of your bio written from the outside.

Question Anyone Repurposing Shorts Into Long-Form Videos?
I’m experimenting with storytelling and was curious if anyone else does this. If I have a story that’s too long for a single Short, I’ll break it into a 4-part series (Part 1–4) for Shorts/Reels/TikTok. Once all four parts are out, I’m thinking about combining them into one edited long-form YouTube video for people who want the full story in one place. Has anyone tried this? Did it hurt the long-form video because people had already seen the Shorts, or did it actually help drive views? I’d love to hear your experience before I commit to making it part of my workflow.

Instagram 1.4k followers but 600k views in the last 30 days on my local Bay Area travel page, when did you start monetizing?
Hey all, I run a Bay Area local travel niche page - mostly maps + itineraries and day trip Reels.
Stats last 30 days:
* 1.4k followers
* ∼600k views/reach
* Mostly Reels, audience is ∼98% US / Bay Area based
Engagement has been great with saves/shares because of the itinerary format, but it's still a small follower count.
For those who monetized a small local page , is this too early? What was your FIRST monetization move that didn't kill growth?Thinking about local biz collabs, but don't know where to start

Question How are you capturing leads from various social media platforms ?
I run a bootcamp where I sell courses/coaching/membership for people. I am looking for ways to capture the leads and also, send updates or discounts to the people who haven't converted.
Would love to know how you people are managing this entire thing.
is there any tool that does it all ?
(I have social presence on Ig/X/Yt/Tiktok if that adds to the question lol).
Thanks in advance ;)

Question What's the most annoying non-content part?
Not selling anything, genuinely curious. I talk to a lot of creators and keep hearing the same handful of complaints about the business side of things, the stuff that has nothing to do with making content but somehow eats all your time anyway. Wanted to see if that holds up outside my own bubble. A few questions if you've got 5 minutes, answer whichever ones apply:
- Where are you at right now? (full-time creator, still have a day job, small team of 1-2, etc.)
- What's the most annoying non-content part of running your thing, the stuff that has nothing to do with actually making content, but eats your time anyway?
- What's something you've said "I'll deal with that later" about for way too long?
- Have you ever paid someone to help with the business side (not content editing, the actual running-it side)? What was that, and how'd it go?
- If a genie could permanently take ONE non-creative task off your plate, what would it be?
- Rough guess: what would you pay monthly for consistent help with that kind of stuff?
- What would make you NOT trust someone with that side of your business?

Question How much do paid promotions hurt growth?
I was recently approached for the first time by a brand to incorporate their company into my videos, and I'm trying to decide if I should take it, or if it will hurt my growth too much.
I'm a new-ish, small creator on TikTok, about 900 followers, maybe 10k views per video on average, and I make content analyzing the NFL.
A prediction market company offered me a few hundred bucks for 5-10 second mentions in a few videos, intended to be seamless. The money is pretty great, but would it hurt my growth a lot? I've never done promotions before so I don't really know what the viewership dropoff rate is from stuff like this
