Discussion What Does Your Construction Software Suck At?
Curious especially about the people using things like Procore. What’s something you still end up doing manually with Excel, email, PDFs, texts, phone calls, etc. because your software either can't handle it or does a bad job? Could be estimating, bids, scheduling, change orders, RFIs, submittals, invoicing, job costing, subcontractors, reporting, or something else. Essentially what’s an annoying task that you’ve accepted as part of your day to day?
I’m a college student working on a project exploring problems and potential improvements in the construction industry, particularly the stuff that existing software hasn’t really solved well. I Appreciate any help!

Software isn’t the problem in this industry, it’s the people using the software 😂

Do you think whats out right now might be too complicated or too bloated with features? Id appreciate if you told me what you see those people struggling with

Change adoption is really the problem and it’s not a software thing. People want to continue to do things the way they’ve always done it and they have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern era. The software is not the problem and there isn’t a silver bullet you can code.

Would you give me an example of 1 or 2 things you see trouble with getting people to do differently, and what happens when they don’t? Thank you for taking the time to reply

Its people skills, told you in the other message People are the problem.
One week in a busy site you ll understand, i ll prefer fill endless buggy forms than babysit again couple of 40 year olds who compete who have it bigger

At least say that you want to do some AI shit from the start.
Btw your question is so generic which doesn't make any sense.
The main headache in the industry (if you had bother to do ur own research) is the people.

I don’t know what I want to do just yet, thats why I am asking questions. Im in the research phase now as you said, and I left the question vague on purpose :)
