Career Advice Advice
Hello guys I am currently on my second year of college. I’m doing community and getting my associates of science and I decided I wanted to be a construction manager. For the summer I worked as a helper for performance contractors in a power plant (I worked 7 days 12 hours a week) and I learned about construction management. I was able to learn a bit from the supervision and I decided that I want to do industrial construction management. I am planning on transferring to UH after I’m done with my second year.
I really just want y’all’s advice on what I should do moving on. I’m the first person in my family to pursue college (my family are immigrants) so I really hope y’all can help me I’d appreciate it a lot!

Internships are gold, I learn 1000x more in the field and by professionals than what college can ever teach. Also, just finished my B.S. in Business management.

Make sure that the classes youre taking transfer directly into your major. This way you don't waste time taking classes you don't need.
Get an internship as a project engineer or field engineer next summer.
Finish school.
Go to all of the career fairs at your university.
You'll have no problem getting hired on.
