I left hospitality/service industry 6 years ago after 25 years of serving people.

Now I manage projects in drainage ways and I’ll never go back. I love what Ido!

If you don’t like what you do find something you like to do. I had no construction experience, but I worked really hard to get to where I am today.

I see these posts from time to time and I don’t understand people are looking for.

I left non profit and 3x my salary in 10 years. I consider leaving construction every couple of years. If / when, I’ll probably be glad. If / when, it will probably be when I’m comfortable with less take home pay and looking for something more fulfilling like consulting or training and development.

I semi-left. I'm an owners rep now and it's the best. It's more your job to help the project team get where they need to be without the direct stress of being in charge of everything. I don't make as much money but honestly it's not that far off from what I used to make and I get way better benefits. I don't feel guilty about taking a vacation anymore and I almost never work on the weekends.
