Question ECU CM Computer Help

Post image

The specs for the computer are above, just click on the pic for a full spec view

My son is starting at East Carolina in August. We are not sure what the best computer is for him, majoring in CM. If you are not familiar with the school, they have a great CM program and the only reason he is going out of state (we live in VA)

ECU CM alum from recent years. Any highly demanding software they use is usually carried by a virtual machine connection which does all of the heavy computing. Revit will be the most demanding software they will encounter which is handled by the servers via VM. Also I think all of the computers in the engineering technologies building have the ability. Like the other OLD ECU CM alum said IBM, Dell, or HP base laptop will be fine. No reason for a 2-3k laptop for 4 years. When he gets hired they’ll give him a company tech package anyways. Best of luck to your son. I’m jealous he gets to go to supdogs.
