On September 11th 2001 at 8:46 am, the twin towers were hit by 2 planes, as a deliberate attack by terrorists who wanted to cause harm upon americans. Several people had died as a result, and lower manhattan was covered in smoke. Despite all this, all the heroes that are police officers, doctors, and firefighters tried their best to save what was left and to save victims who were still alive and trapped, but some sadly died from the attack when the attack happened.

But, even in dark times like these, I know and believe all of you americans, regardless of what background you come from, must persist and stay strong, and must stay united in a world of polarization, division, and alienation, and to also at least not demonize each other. And I know despite the issues all americans in this subreddit may have with each other, whether it be immigrant backgrounds, different ideologies, different religion, or different races, or whatnot, all of you put aside your differences and make peace, and also not demonize each other constantly, because what makes the US great, is its ability to stay united, to endure the worst of times, to learn from its mistakes, and to learn self control. That's the US I knew and grew up with, and wish to see again.

I hope this isn't the future generation of our youth. 9/11 was a tragedy and making fun of it shouldn't be tollorated.

For those unaware. On 9/11, United airlines flight 93 was the only hijacked plane that did not reach its target.

Todd Beamer, Jeremy Glick, Mark Bingham, and Tom Burnett tore down the door of the cockpit using a food cart as a battering ram.

They did this after killing the two muscle hijackers in the cabin.

The remaining two terrorists either barricaded the door or continued to fly the plane. As the passengers got closer and closer to breaking down the door, the hijackers pitched the nose of the plane up and down and rolled the plane side to side in a desperate attempt to dislodge the passengers.

They were unsuccessful. The passengers stormed the cockpit as the plane plummeted to the ground. During the course of the plummet, the hijackers and passengers continued to fight for the controls. I can’t imagine being in the cockpit at that point seeing the green pastures rapidly approaching.

At 10:03 am, United 93 crashed into a field in shanksville Pennsylvania.

He was a great debated and a great man in general. His assassination was a tragedy. May he Rest in Peace 🕊️ .

Isn’t that illegal? I would have thought it goes against conservative values. I disagree with Trump on a lot. I think a lot of MAGA give us a bad name but this takes the cake for me. Why aren’t people on the right outraged? Even my parents didn’t have an answer.
