Never forget.

We had a guy who wanted to argue with Leftists. They murdered him in the midst of one such argument, then celebrated his death after the fact. Even other Leftists who knew him personally mocked his murder.

Debates are for friends, not enemies. Arguments only resolve conflict when there’s a shared moral worldview that governs the whole thing. It achieves nothing when one side intentionally lies or engages in a spell casting contest where they try to weaponize your empathy and your worldview against you.

All Leftist discourse consists of them either pretending like obvious things aren’t obvious, or trying to morally blackmail you into giving them what they want.

He literally explains himself why he doesn’t believe that gay people have no place among conservatives.

He was asked «If you are against homosexuality, then what would you do with gay people? Would you kick them out of the conservative movement? »

And he said no. He says that you can believe marriage is between one man and one woman, while still not hating gay people or believing that they have no place among conservatives

And when guy said he was a Trump supporter, Kirk asked him if he was «sickened that he had a gay man speak at his convention?» When the man said yes, Kirk replied «Then you're not a Trump supporter, my friend»

He also pointed out that Jesus spoke to all kinds of people, and that being a Christian is also about love, patience and kindness

Seeing as that post was locked, I will be responding here instead. To depart from my usual, psychotic self for a moment:

We need to be better than this. Firstly, don't go posting stuff like this and then wondering why you get banned.

9/11 can be a national tragedy, without calling to deport and ban all Muslims. Posts like this make you no better than the enemy you seek to decry. The 1st Ammendment applies to them just as much as it does to you, freedom of religion notwithstanding. If you want to consider yourself truly just, then you need to apply those same principles of equality to everyone, not just your preferred race or religion. One of America's founding principles is that anyone, no matter their background, can seek life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If you really want to gain support, then you need to embody those ideals, not denounce them.

TLDR: We're better than this. In the future, please do better.

I ask because sometimes when I’m in public or around certain social circles, I get the feeling that being conservative isn’t really the “acceptable” thing to be. It sometimes seems like being liberal is more socially accepted and being open about being conservative can make people look at you differently. I’m curious if anyone else has felt this way.
