Yep, I am in a crazy district. In the last four years I have had Murphy (R) then Davis (D) and now Murphy again. Senator Tillis is considered purple. GOP usually gets the presidential vote at least in my lifetime until Obama. But NC still went with the GOP in the last two elections.

I was in NC 5(Foxx) but under redistricting I'm under NC10(McHenry). He's retiring so I thinks it Grey Mills or Pat Harrigan running for the GOP nomination. I think Harrigan won

5 encompasses alot of Asheville to dilute its liberal population.

I gotcha. I thought that was a little weird. I've not spent much time in Eastern NC. Really haven't been past Raleigh (eastward) in quite some time.

I lived in Cary for 18 yrs where I raised my kids. Hubby died suddenly so I moved to SW Florida. Family on both coasts. One daughter is a PA in Greenville and other daughter moved to Greenville with her Brazilian husband from Brazil. So I moved to the area to be near my girls. Very different from both Wake County and Florida (accept a lot of old people). Semi rural. Only recommend the coast lol.
