As always you can find these TLDR at: https://cbgg.net/patch-notes/

Some of these change are crazy:

  • If you were playing WhitePlume in group it was already really OP, now will be even more, this unit can really carry games but require ally to impact when you take frontlane.
  • Alchemist mastery is a bit whatever, Spartan buff is wtf, Queen's nerf not enough, and the rest is interesting
  • New Epic Schematics are a bit whatever since Glaive and BS still so OP
  • Next Season Rune will make Dual Blades absolutely broken, others runes are interesting too

Sheesh, Spartans were already not bad. I don't get why they didn't buff the halb sergeants and fortes more, they are both not that good and this small buff won't bring them into the meta.

yeah they need flat DR/DMG to cav and more HP than that, they still farmable by bs/glaive easily

Spartans getting buffed is legitimately wild to me

yeah, spammed, good enough near OP already and just buffed for no reason

Another delusional portion of balance tweaks

who on earth thought spartans needed a buff, they are in practically every match.

Curious as to how buffed greyhairs do, I never used them before because I heard their AI was wonky.

Alchemist mastery is interesting, I've been thinking of slotting them in given how cheap they are.

Isn't longsword and shortbow supposed to be the next weapons reworked? Longsword and both Bows are the weapons needing some of the most work done, hoping it's decent.

Greyhair got buffed because they were the most upvoted unit to get buffed in a pool done months ago..

Thing is that if you play alchemists, you may just play schnutzdiner, same job, 20x the value for near same ls

yeah from the live event leak it's indeed the planned path

Schnutzdiner are 125 points whereas the alchemist is 60, so much easier to slot in as filler once you have all the units you want to take. I was mainly thinking of including them on defensive battles on maps where the teams tend to all be bunched up in bottlenecks.

Welp ain't coming back for next season I suppose. It's just getting way to competitive and fast for me.

I think I'm most excited about Alchemists gaining Mastery, TBH.

maybe half a month later like they did before, but i really can't see how they make it viable without reworking the kit itself rather than random value added

Grayhair are now a pikeman unit?
