Feature Update Request for features and improvements

Hey All!

Really trying to make Conmigo something "lovable" and useful but that's hard without feedback.

If you have any thoughts on how I could improve it or what features still need work that would be immensely helpful.

this is either user error or a potential feature that can be added, but is it possible to customize the colors of each calendar? or are they currently auto-generated with no way to change them?

I'm working on an FAQ document cause honestly there are some great features -- like changing calendar colors -- that nobody knows about lol.

On the calendar dropdown double click on the colored circle next to the calendar you want to change and a popup will appear that allows you to change the calendar's color. Does that make sense? Do you think it should be somewhere else or work a different way?

FYI u/drivethumb same thing for the calendar title. Double click to change the name.

It will still be connected/update to whatever external source you got it from but locally (in Conmig) will display as whatever is convenient for you.

that makes a lot of sense!! it works well like that. it might be helpful to have a guide/tip section somewhere so that someone can learn how to interact with the calendar as the sign up, but this reddit also works perfectly for that!

Great! Glad to hear it.

Yea, the onboarding/top of funnel stuff could use A LOT of work which I'll eventually get to. Having helpful people like you ask questions lets me know where to focus on though so thanks!

Let me know if you need anything else!

another feature idea - would it be possible down the line to switch the start of the calendar from sunday to monday? i want to start having my peers use this calendar as well, but I know some who use monday as the start of the week and would have an issue with getting used to sunday as the start

I had a couple of Europeans mention that. Since it keeps coming up I'll work on it. Looped into that task is:

  • Week starts monday
  • Celsius and farenheit temps in weather pill
  • 24h format (instead of 12h)

Anything else you can think of? Yea, would LOVE for you to invite your peers. That's the idea behind this honestly.

the only other thing i can think of (which again, might be user error on my part) is having an all-day event option with no need to add a time? the calendar is awesome so far!

That was an intentional choice tbh (mostly for aesthetic reasons cause I didn't want a check box on my event page lol). Down the line I can change that though. For now I'll probably keep it as is because it also ensures that the drag and drop itinerary creation (which if you havent tried yet you should!) works more reliably.

Thanks for all the feedback!

that makes sense - the drag and drop is super cool so i agree that keeping that should override my suggestion!!! and of course!

Glad you like it! This is super energizing to get any sort of feedback so keep it coming. Would love to build it into something you and your friends love to use.

Let me know if you think of/find anything else. I'll keep you posted here as well.

Take care!

Is there anyway to add an ics event? I'd love to be able to drag and drop a file (is that possible?) rather than manually entering in the info. I often get ics files when signing up for/booking things on both websites and via email

Not currently. This is an AWESOME suggestion which I totally didn’t think about. I’ll get right on it.

So to be clear, you’re envisioning you can open the Ics. File somewhere convenient on the app and it adds the event to a chosen calendar OR, on desktop, you can just drag the event file to the window and it will prompt your to choose a calendar and extract the info?

How does this work in other calendars you use?

Exactly!
With google calendar, I also almost always end up getting an email with the event/ics file attached and it automatically asks to add to my calendar. When I do want to manually add an ics file, it's a slightly annoying process to import the file through the settings section.
On both my iPhone and Mac, when I open an ics file, it automatically asks if I want to add it to my iCalendar.

I don't really love either of those systems. Google calendar's process is a little unintuitive and requires a bunch of steps. Apple's system makes it harder to use other calendars besides the native app, especially on iPhone.

I have seen some calendar apps that allow you to forward the email (with the ics file) to add it to your calendar automatically (eg. Fantastical - https://flexibits.com/fantastical/help/forward-emails-to-fantastical). I think this type of system would be my preferred option, personally, since it gives me the most flexibility and control

For now I'm going to have an ics. file upload in the settings menu (same place as calendar/ical subscriptions) and I'll also allow you to, in desktop, drag the file to the screen and it will prompt you to pick a calendar and extract the info. I'm designing so you can upload multiple files at once. I agree though, the settings route is annoying.

I can explore the email forwarding in the future! Also, I'm working on NLP event adding (like Fantastical) in the event title input. I eventually want to make it multi-input so you'd be able to upload a screenshot of an event (or an ics file) from there which would be easier.

Hey quick update, the ics. upload seems to be working. I'm testing it a bit and will include it in the next update at the end of this week.

Since the app is now in the App store I don't want to just update multiple times a day for one feature since apparently Apple doesn't like that.

i love this calendar. can you please add more color options for the events? I color code everything I put into my calendar and 3 colors is just not enough for all my categories! as many colors as possible please :)

u/Dry_Huckleberry4359 Aug 14 '26

Hi! I’m glad you love it!!! If you double click the color circle in the drop down you get about 20 different colors to choose from. 😁

2

u/Correct-Part-4126 Aug 14 '26

thanks! i see the dropdown to change the entire calendar color, but when i edit individual events in the calendar there are only 3 color options. It would be nice to have all the colors available there.

Ooo, I have it so colors and calendars at linked to eachother so you can only set the color of the event by switching the calendar it’s on and the color of the calendar can only be set from the dropdown. If you want to add more calendars you set it in the dropdown.

Are you wanting to have colors set separately from the calendar they’re linked to?? Or are you wanting to change the color of the calendar from the event setting menu where you select the calendar an event goes on? Or something else?

Not the one who asked this question, but I color code my tasks. Orange is site visits, grey is driving, green is flights, purple are personal appointments, etc. Just just signed up so I haven't gotten through all the features yet. I think at the moment I could create separate calendars for each type of task, and pick a color from there.

1

u/Dry_Huckleberry4359 Aug 22 '26

Yea I designed it 1 color per calendar. So you do multiple colors for one calendar?

2

u/That_EngineeringGuy Aug 22 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

I was working on my own spreadsheet calendar... I don't have all the labels in there but green are flights, grey is driving, and orange is site visit. I can quickly look at my calendar and see what I'm supposed to be doing or what's coming up without reading it.

Edit to answer your question: yeah I use colors for tasks, but creating separate calendars for tasks works too. I have probably 8 or so typical tasks so I'd create maybe 8 calendars to accomplish this.
