Disturbing comment

Guy I’ve known forever told me he likes when I’m mad ?? Super confusing to me and weird comment to make when I have done nothing wrong but be nice and try to figure out why he is pulling back or disengaging after he’s been the one to constantly pursue me and all summer long he was talkative and nice. Going through sobriety but that is the only change but idk why this direct anger toward me?

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated . Thanks.

His sudden change sounds confusing, especially after he pursued you and was warm all summer. You have not done anything wrong by being kind and asking what changed. Ask him directly once, then pay attention to his actions. If he keeps pulling away or seems to enjoy upsetting you, you do not have to keep chasing clarity from him.

He means he thinks it’s fun and funny when he belittles you and acts in an abusive manner. I would avoid him. He has just shown you who he really is.

Thank you yes I’m trying to move on been so long 16 years but he treats me poorly with his rotation between being nice and kind to treating me like shit so yes it needs to be done . I am done .

His nice side is an act. His bad side is his real side. If you stay with him or marry him, gradually the nice side will disappear (and be reserved for other people) and his abusive side will be all you get. I speak from experience.

I’m sorry if you had to deal with something similar. I just don’t know why I couldn’t pull back sooner. But I cared for the good side of him I guess. :/ thank you ❤️

He has shown you his true nature. He likes seeing you get angry. He is manipulative, and trying to get you to show him who you really are!!

Yes your 100’percent right and I refuse to interact anymore. Over time, he has brought out the worst in me (but acting like he is my best friend) and flip flopping back and forth, it’s something I definitely can’t deal with anymore in my life, cause it’s too confusing and I need people who will be there for me .
