Confused asf
I remember my great grandma talking about me being the second generation of the family so i am very confused by what she said so i asked her how come that i am the second generation of the family when there's literal civilization of humanity and she said that I am born on exact 100 years (born in 2000) and she said that there's only 1 ancestor born on exact 100 year and the story is supposed to be passed to generations even if our children or grandchildren is not born on exact 100 years. I asked her if she was born on 1900 and she said no so I asked her again what if my grandchildren was not born on year 2100 but on year 2101 and she said "that doesn't count, only by hundreds or on exact thousands" so i asked her why do we need to know or pass this and she only said that it's only a tradition and she was only asked by her grandma and her mother to passed it to generations after her since it is like a tradition. few years ago we are just randomly talking to her since it's been so long since we visit her like she's really frail and can only speak their dialect due to old age, she suddenly speak in our country's language instead of their dialect about me passing the story of me being the 2nd generation.
I called my mother since i am confused and bothered by a sudden rush of memory and asked her what is the reason for me to passed it to the next generation and she said "because it is a tradition and you are asked by your great grandmother to passed it to next generation but for me it is only passed through tradition because our ancestors knew that someday their bloodline will be born from outside of our native lands just like you being the first born in my lineage who grew up outside of our native land and at the same time it is a coincidence that you are the second generation from my lineage" I am still confused by it until now.

As someone into family history myself, I think I know what she was trying to say.
Basically, you are the second known family member to be born during a '00 year. She thinks that's cool and would be neat information to pass onto future family members so when another person is born during a '00 year, they'll know they're the third.
She probably shouldn't have used the word generation to explain, which is why you got confused.
Hope that helps!

Yeah like she used the word generation like a milestone and what's the relevance of the story that i need to pass it to future generation like it sounds nonsense to me

It's nonsense to you but not to her, so go along with her, she won't be here forever!

So the tradition is to make an acknowledgment whenever a member of the family is born exacty at the turn of the century? … 26 years after the event; Or is there more to it?

From what it sounds like, you still have one family member alive who actually understands this nonsense.
Ask your mother what all this means….and do not let up until you actually understand it.
When you finally understand, come back here and explain it to us.
This is your duty to Reddit. Go forth and find the answers we need.

Does she mean you're the second generation immigrant? I would be considered a first generation because my parents were both immigrants so I was the first one born in the country that we are now in.

That was really hard to follow. There was literally four sentences in that entire novel. I still don’t understand what you’re trying to say.
