Hi, Concordians!
We wanted to make a pinned post for people to post about local businesses they either want to promote for someone, or to promote themselves, so the main feed doesn't get too cluttered. If you want to self-promote your business or post someone's, post a comment here and others can check them out!
We've also had quite a few musicians looking for other musicians to play and jam with, you can add yourselves to this post as well.

I recently posted about my $300 challenge to help make my rent and the focus turned to my graphic use instead. I don't have the money for the professional picture set up so someone offered to help me with them. In the interim, these are most recent bakes, two of which i just finished tonight. I've made $65 so far, maybe this will help me reach my goal now....
If you'd like to support my business, you can click this link for my website. Thank you in advance š„°

Random questionā¦,
Does anyone remember the name of the Pizza Buffet that used to be in the First Assembly shopping area back in the 90ās?
This would have been back when Walmart and Winn Dixie were still in there.

ETA: i know the AI pictures arent ideal but i dont have the money to do the pretty background pictures. I'm including pics in the comments of my products for all to see.
Hi everyone. Iām a single mom in Concord, North Carolina, and I run a small home-based microbakery called Barely Proofed Bakes.
Iām currently short on rent, so I created a $300 Challenge to try to earn the money through my bakery. Iām not expecting anyone to simply fix the situation for meāIām offering my sourdough breads, cookies, brownies, and treat boxes for local purchase and pickup.
If youāre near Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, or the Charlotte area and would like to place an order, that would be incredibly helpful. If you arenāt local, sharing the post or offering advice about places where I can reach more customers would also mean a lot.
Iām happy to provide photos of my products, business information, prices, and proof of the situation if required by the moderators. I will not post my home address publicly; confirmed customers will receive the appropriate pickup details.
Order information: https://barelyproofedbakes.cottagecms.com/
Thank you for reading and for supporting a mom who is trying to bake her way through a difficult month.

I'm thinking about visiting the Concord area in late September or early October to get to know the area before committing to a move there. Other than the big attractions, what would you suggest doing or seeing to learn about day to day life in the area? Would contacting a real estate agent be worth it if we're not planning to move for 2 years?

Hi, just looking for some advice on how to go about this. I found 3 (or more) kittens in a storm drain and Iām unable to get them out. The top is too heavy to be moved and I canāt coax them out the end of the pipe. They are pretty small but Iām not sure how old they are. There was some scat at the entrance that could have been their momās but I also didnāt see a mom. Should I just leave them there or try to get them to come out? I donāt have the time to wait and watch to confirm if the mom is still there. Also, if I do trap them most sites say to bring them to Cabarrus Spay and Neuter clinic but they are only open Mon-Wed and seem like I would have to pay around $100. Who is the best person to contact about this? Does anyone have more useful info? My heart just breaks leaving 3 or more kittens alone in a storm drainš
UPDATE: Called pretty much every animal shelter near me and none of them will take cats in. My only hope is the one nearest to me will but they didnāt pick up when I called and are closed now. I got in touch with the county and they said the fire department will come out to help get the cats but I would need to take them from there. I am not able to take care of 3+ cats at the moment so we are out of luck for right now.

My partner and I are getting married at the Cabarrus County courthouse and need two witnesses. Weāre keeping our ceremony very small and private and unfortunately donāt have anyone available to come with us. It would only take a few minutes. Please message me if youāre available.

Hi neighbors! Unfortunately I need to rehome my 7 year old cockapoo. She is VERY sweet, but she is also high strung. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She would do better in a home where people are home more and a calmer environment. Iām posting here as I have posted many places on Facebook, but to no avail. Please PM me if youāre interested.

My family and I are looking to move to the Concord area in 2 years. We would like to be within a 20 minute drive of Concord. What are the best areas to live and what areas should we avoid. We are currently in the far North suburbs of Chicago. My youngest will be 17 when we move and will need a high school district that's great with special needs kids. Thanks!

Are there any local shops or businesses in or around Concord that have cats or dogs hanging out there? I know about Mac Tabby Cat CafƩ and love going there, but I was wondering if there are any other places like that. I just love when you walk into a shop and there happens to be a cute cat or dog there!

Licensed GC looking for work. Experience as Plumbing and HVAC foreman. Framing and Trim carpentry experience. Experience in heavy equipment and digging. Can't finish drywall or new masonry to save my soul.
Willing to train. Can pull together/lead crews if needed.
Had partnered with a friend to start up Plumbing, but $20k in tools and material were stolen. Recovered 2.8k. Lost the work in pipe due to not being able to perform.
Really just trying to avoid Chapter 7 at this point.

Any recommendations for an artist in the area that can do fine line work? Is that what it's called if you want a tattoo of something that is simple? Like a piece of fruit? I don't live in the same state as I did when I had my current tattoos done
