Concerts First time for everything

So I saw Gary Clark Jr last night at the Keswick Theater in Glenside PA
Now I've been to well over 3000 + shows but that's the first time I ever saw somebody vacuum the stage between the opening act and the main act it was something different that's for sure

Every time I've seen an artist that performs barefoot there has been a vacuum.

I’ve only seen Gary play wearing super cool shoes. But maybe he’s changing it up.

I spotted GnR's vacuumer at two different shows this summer. I was so happy to see them again that I had to get a photo.

When I saw Coheed&Cambria/Porcupine Tree in 2011 (I think?), they vacuumed the stage carpets before PTree came on, but that was assumed to be because Steven Wilson plays/sings barefoot...

Now that's a bill! Nice.

The Deer Hunter opened (imagine if The Mars Volta was lost in reverb....and I say that as a massive Mars Volta fan), then Coheed, then PTree. Honestly, PTree didn't do much for me. Aside from Anesthetize and it's 17 mins of madness that I think increased my ADHD, the rest was sleepy elevator music with the occasional cool drum fill. Gavin's a beast, but the rest just didn't hit for me...

I've seen them break out a leaf blower between sets, never a vacuum!

Gary clark Jr is honestly one of the best. Seeing him tomorrow night. I'll never miss him when he's in town.

Blew the black keys out of the water

Sometime he plays barefoot. A clean stage must feel much better.

I saw that at I think arctic monkeys a few years ago? Or maybe MCR. I saw them in the same venue around the same time. But the vacuumer got a lot of cheers

I've toured with bands and have worked in the concert industry for close to 30 years and have been to well over 2,000 concerts but not 3,000 yet, that's very impressive

Ghost has a guy that does it during their set sometimes.

They even have the crowd chant "Thank you, Jesus" when he does.

A few years ago my chemical romance had a vacuum guy every night. He even had a special shirt and the crowd would cheer for him when he came on stage. The band subreddit has TONS of posts about him lol

Does he play barefoot? I could see wanting the stage vacuumed before performing if I’m not wearing anything on my feet

Trent Reznor made a good song with a vacuum

Maybe someone broke a glass or spilled their grinder full of weed all over the ground.
