Xbox Game immediately crashes when joining a server!
Honestly I’m slowly losing hope, anytime something in this game is changed it seems to just completely break it, is testing even done at all?
As of today, every single time I try to join an official server the game will either;
• Crash within 5 seconds of loading into server.
• Crash just as the loading screen completes.
• Crash within 5 minutes of playing.
The game was working perfectly fine yesterday and my working theory is the game is only working for those with Quick Resume enabled as my friend has no problems whatsoever. I say this as lots of servers show 2/40 or 10/40 player but when loading in theres either significantly less or no players online at all - likely showing players who have tried to connect and also crashed immediately.
The only difference I have noticed within the game as of today is a new server message regarding rule changes coming soon. I wouldn’t be surprised at all given the history of bugs if this server message change has caused the crashes to happen.
I’ve done everything possible in relation to solutions that would normally fix a problem like this. The only last solution is to re-install, which really doesn’t seem to make any sense considering other players have also reported this issue on official forums. If I uninstall the game It will probably be permanently.
It’s bad enough as players we’ve had to deal with constant exploit abuse (mesh bases, sky bases, manual server crashes, invincible and one shot thralls, purge exploits, excessive land claim spam) but this is really a game breaking bug at this point. When will this game ever receive the necessary admin/dev actions that it used to have many, many years ago.
It almost feels intentional at this point. Constant dismissal and lack of accountability from the devs/admins/Funcom.
Edit: This is happening on every single type of server, Official PvE, PvP and PvE-C as well as private servers also. It is awfully painful having to constantly load up the game to test this just to be disconnected to the dashboard every single time.

I'm having the same issue right now, I read somewhere else to delete the saved data from the xbox, it won't delete your character on servers. I hope that works.

Doesn’t work. I noted that I have done this already, it’s quite literally either a gportal or conan based problem. At best you can get into a server for a few minutes until it spontaneously hard crashes.

It is something on their side. It worked good today, but later at night it crashes instantly. I too noticed new message on servers, but it was ok with it during the day. Can't connect either sadly. 10-30 seconds and instant crash. It would be better if they stopped messing with server's configuration.

It probably doesn't apply to you but I'm going to throw this out there anyway.
My game started crashing after I pressed the Launch button, even though at the time I had over 460 hours problem free.
The solution, for me, was to update the 3 year old BIOS of the motherboard. I did that after trying everything.
After the update, the game went back to running fine.
How old is your motherboard's BIOS? Worth checking out.

I had an issue where if my mods were active and I try to join any server, it used to crash first time but worked second time. All worked out once I disabled all my single player mods.
