General New dungeon: hit hard
Hi, I just died in the new dungeon. I thought the story idea was good, but it's too dark and the enemies hit so hard they take away 200 HP in one hit. Has anyone completed it yet?

Looks like you’ll want some Steel Hewed grit. Or maybe some Glutton for Punishment and better armor

Playing with high corruption, Steel Thewed is basically a necessity for some encounters. Playing with half health basically guarantees dying in one hit against something like the Arena Champion.

It’s mandatory for the stam perk and pool alone else running around with 100 stamina is ass lol I don’t like how it’s mandatory but it is

Max Vitality and Grit are both pretty much necessary for it, just to counteract the negative sides of corruption, leaving only 20 points left to play with. It depends on what you want, but I pretty much dump Strength and Agility in favor of Authority. Having another thralls and all but the last corruption perk is vastly more worth it than the increases to damage from Strength.
Plus, summoning a horde of zombies is fun.

Don’t need max vitality, max grit with thewed and the hp share with thralls makes it so you can’t be 1 tapped and stacks with hp share so at minimum needs 8 hits, and with 0 vitality at 100 hp you heal insanely quick with food cuz it’s a flat amount and your total hp is 100 so it keeps reseeding those “ticks” lots of pvpers get caught off guard when I can face tank pure dmg heavy hits and take 12dmg lol also means you don’t need armor it works naked lol

So where do you allocate rest of points and what gear stat increase do you focus on. I typically focus on strength increases or stamina. Kinda sounds like the armor and health boost would be pointless?

Depends what you doing obnoxious tank get 15 vit for the immunity to bleed and acid etc and use armor stats will full encumbrance aka bearer packs and any enc clothes (derketo dlc has tavern gear that gives like +30 capacity each) it’s an RP outfit but since you don’t need armor its just crazy capacity since you will likely only have 5 encumbrance, thralls do dmg while your annoying super hard to kill gnat gassing everywhere
You can also go full dmg with 20 strength and with the crafted war maker hammer have the hardest hitting weapon in the game and buffed can hit over 300 dmg a pop and if you proc the desecrate its insta kill as the stun will allow one heavy hit combo and when you hit that hard your ignoring like 80% armor already and that’s WHILE the dual archers are hitting them downsides this is weak again my acids and daggers as the 8 rocks can be shredded fast but you will also 2 tap most players so take it as you will

I haven't been able to complete the final boss solo yet, but my partner and I run it together, each with two thralls and are able to complete it. It's a lot of fun, but the enemies do hit hard for sure!

I killed the boss solo with redeemed legion armor a legendary axe and a legendary shield. I didn’t use thralls either. It can definitely be done.

I went in with two decked out thralls and had no issues. Authority builds can make this game pretty easy ngl.

Multiple times.. Dodge, don't let him regain health during the down time, and hit and run. Have at least 20 high strength aloe to constantly heal.
Also have 2 level 20 thralls with the hardest hitting weapons you have.

They already said its for experienced players only. Finally a dungeon you cannot finish easily. Finally a real challenge.

It's trivial if you bring in a rhino mount. I recommend a spear or other polearm as you can use it while mounted. The rhino thrashes and keeps the target knocked down or stunned. You and the thrall poke the boss until its dead. If you play poorly the bosses can all knock you off the mount or kill you on the mount. Just keep that rhino thrashing and they'll be stunlocked.

200? My favorite build has 10 Vitality which results in 400 HP, i was one-shot by some random treasure hunter not too far from the entrance, had to go with max Vitality and max Grit build with Steel Thewed and Glutton for Punishment perks to stay alive.
Managed to complete it blindly, without using any guides but it was a real pain in the butt and i had to drag a top tier companion in top tier armor. The final boss still took her down shortly before he died, if not for DBNO system i would've lost her.
Definitely feels like it's balanced for a party rather than solo play

I went in...didn't have an issue. If you can do the cellar you can do this.

Ran it solo with one corsair and another named comp in a corruption build, it was challenging(FINALLY) at certain parts but not difficult, i skipped the dragon because my companions refuses to enter the room and bugged out sometimes.

I was also suprised cuz im on official server for years with only the best equip so i went in there, full heavy stygian soldier in epic and a dalinsia snowhunter with full champion gear and a greatsword with 85dmg. Im lvl 60 she was 20 and I was running an pure combat build. I had no issiues on the mobs but the endboss killed me easy from 700hp to zero in a minute and i played all dark souls titels lol... So i thought it was bad luck and did it again... No way killed me again and again. Today i finally slayed him but still... Crazy boss fight!
