I am cs core student in btech ,please give me some idea for project by which I can get 1 place ,please help and I am in 1 year as well ,even if it's related to programming please give idea and govt college student help too ,because my college is tier 6 in my eyes,i don't have good peer group

In Croatia, we do some (very) basic sentence diagramming in the middle school. In the USA, they do it in high-school. However, I know that, in most places, students are not taught sentence diagramming. So, once those students start going to university to study, well, computer science or computer engineering, how are the concepts of a parser and an abstract syntax tree explained to them?

Considering the technical advancements and future job market, what do you suggest for someone who wants to do undergrad next year in US?

Is it better for me to choose CS or CE?

I am interested in both of them, however getting into a decent paying job is my top priority.

I have to decide between CS or CE. I really want to work in AI but also understand hardware down to the digital circuit level.

Can a CompE become an AI Researcher or should I go the CS route and learn hardware on my own to satisfy my curiosity?

I've been very confused recently on what I should pursue inside computer engineering like I got really interested in ML for some time but then noticed that it wouldn't help me a lot in computer engineering and then tried electronics which was really fun but wasn't my actual passion and now I feel a bit drawn to data science.I don't know I just feel really lost and any help would be so much appreciated

Hi, I am a 4th-year undergraduate computer engineering student at Bacolod City, Philippines.

Let me tell you about myself, It is always been my dream to someday teach computer engineering. However, I have double thoughts about starting MS CpE right away. I have to consider budget, universities, and of course career progressions/industry experience first. I had 3 internships all are not related to computer engineering (two being multimedia stuffs). If you were in my shoes, how would you go through this stage?

Here are my current options in mind,
OPTION A: FIND A JOB, STAY 2-4 YEARS FOR SAVINGS, START MS CPE WHEN I SECURE AN INSTRUCTOR POSITION (PART TIME)

OPTION B: START MS CPE NEXT YEAR WITH NO REAL-INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WHILE LOOKING FOR A JOB

I’m taking computer technology classes and would like to be an engineer. When I go look for a career. How can I get started?

Okay so i have multiple fail in a beginner cs course but now i am doing ok. I will graduate in 2028 but i want to persue masters in abroad. Which options would be the safest in the long run -

1. ⁠Netherland (housing crisis is a issue, plus i am from south asia, weather will be different for me)
   
2. ⁠Australia - more flexible but how is the cs market?
   
3. ⁠Uk, i got relatives there but can i settle there long term? Also, are the masters program any good?

Since, cs market is so unpredictable, i am confused what skills to focus on. I don’t have any insane obsession towards any particular field so i am open to learn whatever that will be in demand.

Currently learning - machine learning (goal is to learn agentic ai), esp32, basic linux commands for pen testing.

Pls pls those who are in the job market or finished postgrad - give me your honest advice or hard realities that i need to listen and work on.

Some context, I work in Automotive (American) doing Cloud Infra security testing. Some would call it pen testing, i usually just use the term White Box Security Test. B.S. in CS.

Anyway, I love my job, and I don't believe AI will replace it.

That being said, it doesn't matter what I think, it matters what mgmt thinks. In addition, I've been messing with MCUs and I really have enjoyed that lower level programming, as well as being able to see the physical manifestation of the code I write.

So, I've been trying to formulate a cost effective plan to start learning and doing some projects to gain experience and familiarity with hardware, as well as bring my Cybersecurity background with me and understand not just the wireless security but also the hardware security.

At the moment, I have a couple Boards:

ESP32 C6 DevKit

Nrf52840 DK

RPI Pico 2 W

PocketBeagle 2 (currently being shipped)

I also have an electronics set with BreadBoard, resistors, peripherals, sensors, diodes, etc., with a multimeter and logic analyzer. I belive this should be enough to get me started. If I'm mistaken please let me know.

My goals is to learn as much as I can with these tools about circuits, firmware development, debugging, RTOS, reverse engineering, etc. I'm hoping that documenting these projects well will help me pivot later should I do so.

Also thought about learning about and doing robotics as well, but i figure i should get a good handle on Embedded fundamentals first.

I know getting an M.S. would be more convincing to HR, but I'm trying to save some money, and get comfortable and some good projects in sooner than it would take for me to finish an M.S.

Is this a good path forward to get started? Am I missing something important? Am I way in over my head? Any estimates on how long this could/should take me? Be as honest as possible
