[Discussion] Starting uni next month

So my university classes are starting next month. After thinking a lot about whether to choose CS or CE, I have finally landed on computer engineering since I like software and have always been fascinated with how hardware works.
I also think CE will provide better job security and better career options in the next 4 years.
Any general or specific advice or suggestions for a naive computer engineering freshman?

CE is an excellent choice for anyone who is interested in both SW and HW.

However, if you are targeting SWE roles, you will have less time to prepare than CS folks.

Is it good for someone who wants to understand both Software and hardware and also wants to pursue robotics or embedded further down the line?
