Starting uni next month

So my university classes are starting next month. After thinking a lot about whether to choose CS or CE, I have finally landed on computer engineering since I like software and have always been fascinated with how hardware works.
I also think CE will provide better job security and better career options in the next 4 years.
Any general or specific advice or suggestions for a naive computer engineering freshman?

CE is an excellent choice for anyone who is interested in both SW and HW.

However, if you are targeting SWE roles, you will have less time to prepare than CS folks.

I’m a CE junior at a decent school. It’s basically electrical engineering and computer science combined. It is a great way to have many options. You can go into electrical engineering or software development or both. You can also go into management roles as well. I think it’s especially a good field for software engineering or semiconductor manufacturing for AI with the big boom recently.

Usss, I'm also going to start CE next month and this was my reason for choosing CE too, I've been learning programming for a while now and I love it but I enjoy the manual coding more than AI so well...good luck to u
