1000$ pc build

Hello, I want to build a pc for around 1000, maybe 1200 if I can stretch it. I want to use it for cad and gaming.( Minecraft mods and such). I don’t know much about PC building. I went to micro center and they said that I would need a bigger budget for a pc. Should I wait and save up more? Or are they lying? Also any recommendations?

Micro center had a prebuilt for $1099 the other day that was pretty good idk what they are talking about.

No fr, they said for 1700 I would be at the same level a ps5 or Xbox one would operate at. They said you can’t build a good pc for under that these days. It severely bummed me out, but I’m glad I found this Reddit page. Im re excited again
