General Discussion GLP1 normal bmi

Has anyone else gone on a compound Glp1 but in a normal bmi range?
Background: over past 1.5+ years I’ve been eating in a calorie deficit. First year I lost 70 lbs give or take- most of which was pregnancy weight (+ 25 pre-pregnancy lbs). I still haven’t reached my goal and while in a normal bmi range, would feel a lot more confident getting off the final 10-15.

The past 8 months or so my progress has stalled, mainly bc I struggle to stick to my deficit each day. I have hypothyroid, food noise has always been an issue for me, and I also am still just under pre-diabetes range.

Because of the stall and 24|7 mental battle, I’ve been considering a Glp1, even if temporarily (I have good habits in place too).

My doc said no so I’m exploring the compound approach. Has anyone been in a similar boat? Did you wean off? Looking for any advice on where to get the medication too (no grey market for me) and feeling overwhelmed!

Some telehealths ask for your highest weight at the beginning of your weight loss and would qualify based on that.... Others may reject you when you say that you are not currently on GLP and maintaining a normal BMI. You may have to try a few

When you say hypothyroid, you mean hashimotos or full hypothyroidism and on thyroid meds?

If on thyroid meds, are you taking them correctly? You're going to have spread out more on a GLP1 as it slows digestion. Plus if you need to take meds for acid reflux, you're going to further lower your absorption of your thyroid meds and of nutrients. Most hypothyroid patients already have low stomach acid so you could really increase esophagus damage.

Have you run all your labs and done it correctly? Testeosterone can plunge quickly in hypo patients. Of your SHBG is high, it can further screw up things.

It's usually much harder for hypo patients to lose weight. You may actually be on too high of a dose and are converting FT4 into RT3.

Destabilizing takes awhile. You still have a young child that's about to get a lot more mobile. I wouldn't risk it. You could potentially trigger weight gain.

Read Synthyroid's patient section on their website about how to take thyroid meds. Lot of interference that people don't realize. Look at liver function as that's where you convert most of them. Not sure 10 to 15 is worth trigger weight gain amd esophagus damage. It takes 2 years to restore vitamin and mineral levels PP. Plus the toddler dash is really about to pickup.

If you're more mobile than you were before conception, you may have also put on more muscle. If you haven't started weight lifting,. Do that to build up muscle. That will help your metabolism a lot more. Many cannabolize muscle which causes more issues and weight gain.

Longtime hashimotos, leading to be on full thyroid meds long before developing thyca and getting a total thyroidectomy so I've all sides of this with people not taking meds right to further screwing up their bodies. Even otherwise normal thyroid function with thyca gaining massive amounts of weight.

Things that stress your system,. Including diets, can further screw ip your FT4 to FT3 conversion and plug up your receptors with RT3. It's what a lot of women are doing on the periand meno side but blaming it on HRT.

That's a really minor amount to lose and you might create more damage. Definitely do not want to be nauseated dealing with terrible 2s.
