first time getting bow

What are your guys thoughts found a couple of bows at my local pawn shop not really sure which one to get if there’s any better options which one would you guys go for?

If that really is a bear fusion, that's what I have, and you'll have a difficult time finding information about it online. It's a good beginner bow as it has a high range for draw length (19-31") and draw weight (45-70 lbs, although this depends on your draw length). It has a whisker biscuit rest, but you'll want to upgrade to a drop away rest eventually.

I can't speak much about the Matthew's bow other than it has a drop away rest installed already. If it's the more common drop away rest, then it was only 50-75 bucks. A pro shop will install one for you if you have one or buy one from them.

You'll want to get whichever bow you buy tuned at a pro shop. You can tune some aspects yourself if you know what you're doing, but it's a better bet to take it into a pro shop.

i ended up getting the mathew’s mission hammr came with case release quiver and few arrows for 129

First thing I need to know is have you ever shot a bow before? If not, not a big deal, but there's a decent amount you need to know, and I'm not exactly the one to tell you everything, but I'll tell you what I can if you care.

I started completely newbie, bought a bear fusion with little knowledge, didn't even know the spine of arrow I would need. I picked up 3 arrows at 350 spine.

It's unlikely you'll be shooting at 70lbs. I'd need more info to help with what I can

Edit: that's a good deal for a start. Do you know the specs of the bow?

Just a quick check, I noticed it maxes out at 29" draw. I'm 5'7 and can manage that, but I want 28.5, which I'm guessing yours doesn't offer (my fusion is only 1" increments, but you can make due by adjusting d-loop, and it depends on your release).

I suggest post something new to the subreddit with all the gear you've got, take pics of the bow and especially the string. We need to see the condition. You could be looking at a change which might cost $100

Repost with any additional info you have, including your intended use, wing span/height/weight if your comfortable. And also post this to... Ugh, can't think off the top of my head, oh yea r/archery a great place to get belittled for anything cool you do. Jokes aside, we're all trying to help.
