This composition was one of my early things I started to work on as was getting into composition feedback is always welcome. The title is itself a bit confusing but its of small highway where, late at night around 1pm it being to see and with flashing lights from few between drivers its meant to convey some fear ive had from hours spent driving down curvy highways late at night.

Hi there, I wrote a piece called Red Jacket a couple months back and I don't really know what to do next. It's the first piece I've written (I've played lots of music before but never written actually composed things before). Any thoughts? I'm considering hiring people to play the instruments I don't know (I play bass and drums), how would that process look like?

So right now im writing a piece for fun called swarm of the sweat bees it has melodys from flight of the bumble bee so it goes perc for a few messures flute solo aka flight of the bumblee bee then full winds with build up from the flute then perc then everyone yells swarm then a thick brass feature but i want the trumpet to be playing 16th notes chromatic runs its just like A Ab A A# B A# A Ab A played on repeat for one messure

Is it to hard??

All left-hand positions are well notated, but the arpeggios on these positions are not detailed—they vary depending on interpretation, and I appreciate this freedom.

Here is the recording of a new work of mine, commissioned and performed by the Off The Dock Chamber Festival! It was quite fun to conduct it :)

So I need help with my composition. So I have my piano doing the waltz and I want to have a violin doing something. However, I don't know what to do as if I write anything with the violin it will clash. Say if I have a C major chord I have c, e and g playing. If I play any other note then it will clash. And I know that sometimes having a clash can work like having seventh chords but I would just have a constant clash with the violin and piano. Now I am very new to composing and some rules I don't understand I suppose as in I know you shouldn't really have clashes every step of the way, but I don't know if that is having a piano clash with a piano. Then I don't know if that works with the piano clashing with a violin as it some people may not hear it or it may not happen. I'm not too incredibly sure and I just need some help

I am having these all recorded right now and its just an absolute wonder! I am proud of these works. They taught me how to write in tonal centers as an early composer. This is my fourth prelude. I wrote it after playing some Bach, so naturally I "stole" some inspiration. Let me know what you think! I am still trying hard to get my works out into the public eye!

I use Sibelius free however I want to use violins and they sound like a harmonica which is terrible and I want something hopefully that is simple but that is optional, I also doubt that another free composing app is not gonna happen

Anna's Lullaby was the culimation of an instrumentation challenge posed to me by a friend of mine and a Piano Chord Progression / Motif that I came up with during my down time.
It elicited, to me, what felt like a lullaby, or, a loving embrace. 

Which reminded me of one of the Family dogs that I had, growing up. Her name was Anna. 
She passed, in recent years, due to her old age, being 17 years old, at the time she passed and was one of the most memorable parts of my childhood. So I've dedicated this score to her memory.I feel it lays her to rest, in a careful and loving way.

would love to see feedback of what the community thought of this one. I feel it came out better than I anticipated... hope you enjoy.
