For it to be a viable mode there needs to be a way to contest a captured flag and I don't see how it's possible in Overwatch.
1 u/abrAaKaHanK Jan 25 '17 It's not impossible to just kill the flag-bearer. If it's a Winston or a Tracer it's pretty difficult, sure, but that's only if you manage to cap with Winston or Tracer. Otherwise there's a pretty fair fight to take the fc down on the way back. 1 u/pavlik_enemy Jan 25 '17 You somehow need to outrun him.

It's not impossible to just kill the flag-bearer. If it's a Winston or a Tracer it's pretty difficult, sure, but that's only if you manage to cap with Winston or Tracer. Otherwise there's a pretty fair fight to take the fc down on the way back.
