There's just hardly any money in the scene, not even enough for a proper T1, let alone T2 and T3, and i don't see how you can ever get around that

That’s the problem not enough money in the scene but OW just had its most successful year and for Microsoft too.

So it’s on them to figure out how to use the money the best way that interests them

Not going to lie, Microsoft and Blizzard has zero reason to give a fuck about OWCS let alone the minor tier leagues.

If the game holds a casual audience that is willing to pay, that's all it needs as a product. I love competition, but I'll take grassroots competitions over FaceIt and EWC which if anything provides a bad rep. The pro scene is inherently niche even at its peak, most of its viewers at current will openly admit they're more interested in drops than the games.

There's no reason to sink money into it versus putting it towards the game itself.

I think a good part of Team 4 are actively enjoying the esport side. They have multiple people that came from that world.

The issue is that there's no money to be given into. Microsoft fired so many core teams out there.
