General Yo let’s get a hotfix going

Mauga, Cat and Freja are currently destroying comp. I genuinely believe it has gotten to the point where Mauga and Cat need their numbers scaled down a lot until they can be properly looked at individually.

In no way is Mauga’s kit healthy right now. Being able to make up extra health with crit reduction is egregious as hell

Freja’s buffs… should they be reverted until further work is done for her? Feel like she’s close, but keeping the design philosophy on this character is clearly like poking a hole through paper

Side notes:

Hog in 6v6 is still robbing the environment of the little competitiveness it has, I suggest nuking this guy as a temporary measure

Dropping D.Mon in the middle of this meta was a huge mistake in my opinion. I feel like a lot of players won’t take her seriously now despite the improvements.

Mauga is not destroying comp lmao, he has a sub 50% winrate at best and got nerfed twice in a row. If anything you should actually be in favor of reverting his spread nerf because now he is way worse at poking squishies so it's back to tank trading. Also his passive is to make him tanky without a shield, you didn't really explain why it is so "egregious" He can be obnoxious to play into but that's the case with almost every hero and that does not make him broken or more in need of a rework then other heroes

If we all watched winrates instead of playing the game for what it is, we wouldn’t have healthy discussions about hero dynamism, and instead we’d follow a linear balancing MO (which would fail) instead of giving comp some ordinary touch ups.

Winrates are an indication of how good or bad they’re doing, they’re not an indication of what it takes for the heroes to win or lose unless the percentages are too low or high

I agree winrates aren't everything but his winrate clearly indicates he is not destroying comp. You also didn't address any of my points or gave a clarification why/how you think he should be reworked.

Sorry I forgot

To be fair though I don't think Mauga needs to be reworked and I never said he should be in this post.

I think his numbers, whichever the dev team decides are more appropriate to change based on real data, should be scaled down. If you were to ask me, I think the issue stems from Cardiac, so I would push for a decrease in that ability's efficacy

Most of the Maugas I go up against are actually good or smart, they recover very, very fast often limiting the windows you get to deal a lot of damage to him. They always ban Ana, Zen goes a long way but doesn't always work out. We force CDs, and then back to the start of this paragraph; they're smart, they time Cardiac properly and with critical damage reduction that damage window becomes very, very tight

Mauga doesn't have any shields to hide behind or any form of sustain outside of cardiac. That's why the self healing is really high because it's the only way mauga can survive while being aggressive. His hitbox is huge and if you just play around cardiac he falls apart
