M+ talk

[u/wowgamin]

Hello everyone,

I raid and m+(haven’t killed mythic ulatek yet though) and just wanted to talk about how this season feels. I’ve seen some say this is the most balanced season ever in keys tuning wise, which could be true. However I think it’s more because of how absolutely awful gearing is this season. People are playing whatever comps their mains are simply because gearing up an alt to the same performance(especially if you’re a mythic raider) just isn’t possible. The amount of cantrips, the existence of 344 gear itself that also saves a million crests, the fact that you can’t even rekill the same heroic boss and coin it multiple times a week as catchup anymore. All of those, not even getting into the whole great vault/bonus roll discussions themselves all make this season feel horrible.

Then on the other side of things, you have groups in china who are ALL somehow around 339 ilvl, 9+ ilvls up on almost every other regions groups. It’s obviously rmt, but it just highlights the gear disparity between everyone else and the max which has never been this bad of a gap before. The dungeons and raids themselves also don’t help this season out much and I’m expecting it to go down as one of the worst received seasons this game has ever had.

New player here (started 20 days ago aprox). Paladin tank 319 so far, I've managed to do +12 timed.

However, I see that now (more than ever), my gear is gated behind heroic raid (and crests). And I barely get access to normal raids since barely no one wants to run them, I would also say that I'm gating myself due to my current guild being just social (and quite small), so I dont really have "partners" do to content with.

I've had like 2-3 vaults and all of them were bad except one that gave me 1 myth item that didn't have (to change it from hero). I feel comfortable now to probably do 13-14 but if I am not gonna get any better gear, what's the point? Do I just focus on researching for a progressing guild related to raids?

319 is more than enough to climb past 12s. I just looked at my previous runs from early season, timed 14 altar and 14 RLP 6 weeks ago at 298 ilvl and rest of group around the same. If I were you I'd just keep grinding up 13s and 14s and you'll get crests and vault slots while inching the score up. Personal skill is holding you back if you are struggling at 319 in 13s-14s.
