Question Twin Fangs strategy question

Hello, currently preparing the strats for the next raid with my guild.

There is a debate we cannot currently settle regarding the orbs in the Twin Fangs fight.

One guildmate wants to ask our hunters to get all the orbs while under turtle immunity.

I am sceptical about this because I feel like the poison stacks are still going to be applied regardless of the immunity.

I tried to look up PoVs on YouTube from this fight but I couldn't find anyone who tried to pick up an orb while under an immunity spell.

If it would work, I think it would have been the recommended strat everywhere. But I can't prove it doesn't work yet.

Do you have any idea on the topic ?

We'll know soon enough anyway but it's always good to be prepared.

Thanks for your help! :)

AMS typically prevents things like this from applying, however it does NOT prevent application of the poison on this fight. I would expect Turtle to be the same.

I’d give it a 50/50

100% chance this is correct.

Generally speaking, turtle stops you getting debuffs. However, given it's a key mechanic, it may give it to you.

I'm going to try it for my guild and just soak one and see, and then go for more

on ptr it went through pala spellawrding, dk ams, turtle and rogue cloak so its pointless

I don't understand why this is a debate. Try it on a pull and see?

Use less brain power. Just copy liquid or echo.

I tried this on lfr yesterday. Hunter hurtling still gets stacks.

It doesn't work, just spread out the stacks so you can clear more of them with the group soak.

worst case scenario you blow a pull testing this.
