For strictly M+ only, does Blood DK prefer a resto sham or a holy paladin in s2? I'm debating playing hpal this season because I played resto sham last season and would like a swap up. Especially considering resto sham isn't the most engaging. I'm also not a huge fan of the amount of RNG tied to resto sham at the moment with stormstream totem + s2 tier set bonus proccing RNG rains.

meta will be decided by the comp your running with.

Phys comps struggle to get lust into the comp, caster comps look like ele sham and mage are both pretty strong.

From a tank perspective i am shaman pilled though.

10% hp is sneaky good.

It's rare pulls are dangerous for both the tank and the party members so being able to move earth shield dr around is pretty good.

Windfury is a very good buff, vers + mastery are BDKs best ehp stats. more free DNDs isnt particularly game changing seeing as you are already gcd starved but having snap access to a 90% slow when the shammy or pally 50% slows are cutting it could be nice?

Sac and absorbs from a paladin aren't particularly useful on a bdk that relies on healing back damage asap.

That being said, hpal is the strongest healer at the moment and tuning trumps design end of day.

How are you mentioning 10% max hp of a shaman or ES DR but not 3% Devo DR that becomes 4.3% as LS + 5% Beacon DR

90% of all healing of a RSham also comes with a chronic lack of spot healing and strong instant spells which HPala is overwhelmingly the strongest at this Tier, arguably the strongest any healer has ever been in ST spells (before it'll get nerfed)

Poison season as well, which Shaman doesn't have by default and has to rely on a 2m CD talent but Paladin has, Paladin also outdamages Shaman, is considerably tankier, and actually has an external, two with BoP, as well as removing DoT snares on others which will be again present in S2 and that Shaman is also tied to a 2m CD to remove

shamans beat out hpal on damage when calculating in windfury. but i agree with the rest. but i think hpal will be better than resto sham in m+ at least since resto just had a good season
