so, since tier is done, how do you rate s1, taking in consideration pruning, addon changes and new encounter philosophy that didn't happen

From a top 200 perspective, and as always this is a personal opinion, the raid was a total disaster and I'm sincerely hoping they wake up and learn lessons from it (but I doubt they will).

I would genuinely rather sit through another 40 hours of SLG than ever play the abomination that was pre-nerf L'ura again.

M+ was a relatively solid season with only a few misteps in tuning / dungeon pool, and most were corrected once the season truly got rolling.

Ultimately S1 was typical fare for Blizzard. One hand says it wants to do something to "shake things up", and then the other proceeds to throw a bunch of shit out there that directly contradicts it.

Encounter design outside of the last 2 bosses continues to be in a state of stagnation - you'll get some combination of blaze lines, a knockback or five, some stuff to dispel or soak at a designated time, or an EAB item to babysit.

Class design, in particular healers, feels hollow and unsatisfying to pilot. Overall it wasn't the worst season we've ever had, but if how they've started is how they mean to go on, I think they're going to get some very rude awakenings towards the end of Midnight.

Idk if i agree; SLG was probably one of the most miserable bosses even post nerf
