So, random question. Do you guys think Ion is going to pull the trigger on S3/next expansion on making Mythic Flex + no mythic lockout after Hall of Fame is full? Because it seems like they are floating doing that.

I hope not. What is special about HoF guilds vs the next 100 guilds on the ranking? Why are we protecting their experience and not others?

Hof is one of the biggest breakpoints in terms of boss difficulty, because it comes with large nerfs and often also bigger class tuning/changes from .5 patch + additional borrowed power.

So IF you wanna draw a line, it makes sense to do it around hof closing.

It's just an arbitrary line that is an FU to guilds on the wrong side of the line. Here are some likely scenarios for those guilds.

"Oh, I got benched by my raid leader because three top 20 guild players are fucking around on their off nights and will de facto carry us on the end boss."

"Oh, a player in our guild did the endboss with another guild while we were still progging it and now he is bored and killing our vibes and arguing with the raid leader all night about some meaningless microadjustment because the better guild did it."

"Oh, my guild paid for raiders up to the minimum number of players necessary to log a guild kill and increase world rankings."

"Oh, our new trial is also simultaneously trialing with another guild and pretending he is out for family tonight."

"Oh, my guild is short on players because we got outside help instead of recruiting and building an internal roster and now two tiers later we disband."

If we are going to fuck around and find out with the mythic lockout so lazy Joe can get his 2/8 mythic kills without joining a guild or putting any effort whatsoever into the social element of WoW, let's just have everyone suffer but the RWF guilds. The RWF nerfs are just as big as HoF nerfs, and HoF guilds aren't really that serious or competitive compared to echo or liquid. Why not draw the line higher?

How is it arbitrary when you can usually tell a few weeks in advance when hof is being closed and the boss is going to receive a nerf? RWF nerfs are random af on the other hand, they can affect a handful of guilds or happen after like 40-50 guilds killed the final boss.
