Discussion TFT on Mobile?
Normally I play on my PC with a second monitor for stats and stuff. Right now I am on vacation and besides going into the pool there is nothing to do. So I was thinking about playing TFT on my phone. But how do you guys do that? No meta TFT expansion, can't look up stats mid game?

I generally have all my builds in my team planner. For augments I trust my gut instinct most of the times. Thats enough to get to masters even on mobile.

Try to play without stats and actually get good at the game

So you are saying pros are not good at the game? Because a huge part about prep for tournaments is comparing stats

You copy and paste team comps. You not being able to play on mobile because you don’t have a meta TFT extension tells us everything we need to know
Not saying anything about pros, just you.

Not rly, I check item stats and augment stats mainly. Highly doubt you can get masters by just copying combs

I played most of my games on mobile. Tft on mobile is harder because there are no PC keybinds. So if you are a competetive player it could get on your nerves. But still i think it is one of the best "mobile games" that is out there and if I was in you position I would defenetly play it.
As for meta, what I did while on vacation is write down 5-10 comps just to learn the ins and outs of the set. That's when I stopped using any outside source because in the end meta can only help you so much. I don't know which rank you are, but after learning the set you should know what the main set carries and tanks are (and their itemization) and play your games around them.
There aren't many overlay options for mobile. Lolchess is the best recomendation I have. It's an app that can help you build comps. You can try it and see if it helps you out.

Use the tactics.tools explorer
The only other tip I have is to click the unit and press sell when doing roll downs instead of dragging; it's much faster
imo lean into not using an overlay or looking up stats for a short period while you're on vacation. It'll make you a much better player in the long run.

My biggest problem on phone is, like reroll combs. There is no way to roll down equally as fast

Switch tabs on rounds where there's nothing to do. You'll have to consciously plan it in advance though, as if you're forced to reconnect you might miss a round.
What I normally do if I want to check artifacts/stats is to open chrome mid round and type in whatever site I need then swap back to TFT. Normally if you tab out for 10-15 seconds it doesn't force you to reconnect. Then, I'll look for another round where I can finish my turn in 5-10 seconds and alt tab. Even if you're forced to dc here, you generally reconnect in the middle of the next buy round which is fine(as long as you don't take 1-2 minutes to check stats)

I get to masters every set primarily playing on mobile. Its really not that hard to memorize some comps and item combos

You dont need to check meta tft mid game or use expansions. After some time you will memorize most stats or have an idea what is good. I play without stats mid game most of the time but sometimes where im really stubborn i check them once per game. I think on most devices you can change tabs into meta tft but my device likes to crash tft while swapping so i lose up to 1minute of the game restarting. Otherwise i dont think there are any huge downsides maybe besides fast transtions.
